Focus on what you can control.
As I was making this post in the Starbucks drive-thru, I pulled up to the pay window for my order. The worker smiled so nicely and told me, "The car in front of you paid for your order. So you're all set to go!" I have never had this happen to me, so it caught me off guard. I wish my brain had caught up to me so I could pass on the kindness. I drove away, and my day made a whole lot better.
My point is, don't hold on to what you can't control. Today, that would be financial burdens that have hit hard recently. Instead, focus on what you can control. Such as what I can do to relieve those burdens. Granted, maybe Starbucks wasn't the best option, but sometimes you need that pick me up, and God said, "I got you."
So that neighbor dog constantly barking and harassing you on your walks, those squirrels tempting your dog, the scoffs at your training tools, the keyboard warriors babbling away, etc. You can't control that. Let it go.
Focus on your mindset and how you handle them with your dog! Take a different route, reward for your dog's desired behavior, pull the blinds down, teach you dog to relax on place or in the crate, just keep on walking or scrolling, delete negativity from your life, etc.
If you aren't worried about it, neither will your dog. Power team! ✨️
