While boardings begin to dwindle down as we start the closing process, we have every intent to still give back to kreatures in need, when and where we can!. That being said, we'll be keeping this platform around for the purpose of promoting, networking and general raising awareness 💜 As a proud member of , I'll be sharing info and bios on adoptable dogs at Grand Prairie Animal Services and Adoption Center

First up, meet Harper Lee!

Honestly, I have no idea how she hasn't been scooped up yet. This little girl is SO sweet, has excellent leash manners, and listens/takes corrections well. And...I mean, just look at that smile!!

Harper Lee is an American Staffordshire Terrier mix, and has somehow been at GPAS since 7/5/24. She is about 2 years old and cannot wait to be your best friend.

Furry friends and loyal pawrents,

After a number of wonderful years of caring for your beloved pets, it is with a heavy heart that I announce the upcoming closure of The Kreature Koven. This decision was not made lightly, and it comes with a mix of sadness and gratitude.

Bookings that have been confirmed through December will continue to be honored until we close our doors on December 30, 2024.

Over the years, we've had the privilege of meeting so many incredible pets and their parents. Your trust in us to care for your furry family members has meant the world to us. The memories we've created together will always hold a special place in our hearts.

While this chapter is coming to an end, we are forever grateful for the support and friendship of our amazing community. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives, and your families.

As we move forward, we take with us the joy, laughter, and love that your pets have brought into our lives. We will cherish these moments always.

The Koven may be closed for boarding, but with a few days left before a long trip, we thought we would squeeze in a short term foster 🥰 Elaine is currently in boarding but is loving her own little vacation out of the facility, where she can get some love, attention and decompress.

Elaine is estimated to be around 2 years old, and a German Shepherd mix. She is incredibly sweet, know how to sit, give paw, and we're working on "lay down!"

Elaine is currently being fostered through and is available for long term boarding or even adoption! She is going to make someone the very best friend ever.

Hello friends! The Kreature Koven will be closed to boardings and any additional sittings beginning today, June 1st, through July 10th. If you are in need of in-home pet sitting during this time, please reach out and we will do our best to get you connected to some of our fellow pet care providers.

In pet care services, sometimes you've got to be ready to pivot. These four baby faces came to the Koven on Wednesday, all from the same household!

What started as a big puppy paw-ty, turned into two of the four just being a lil more comfy in the walls of their own home. So, we turned this vacation into half boarding, half drop in, full puppy love! Oh, and getting to meet Mr Pibb, head of the welcome committee 🥰

We are grateful for every single client who puts their trust in us. We're especially grateful for those that remain flexible and adaptive to adjustments that allow us to ensure everyone's comfort and safety 💖💖💖

Everyone welcome first time kreatures Joey & Wentz to the Koven!

Joey is a 70lb, 3.5 year old lab mix and his big brother Wentz is a 110lb, 6 year old bull mastiff! Together, they are 200% cuddlebugs 🤗

This big boys are getting plenty of scratchies, play time, treats... and obviously plenty of R&R!

What a weekend!! If you've been missing posts from us, it was because we were having too much fun paw-tying once again here at the Kreature Koven with double boardings Carson & Sammie

Although we don't typically board more than one household at a time, as a couple of very mild mannered and well behaved regulars, and with paw-rent permission, we booked both of these babies and ensured a very careful introduction.

Little did we know they'd become the bestest of friends! Carson and Sammie got plenty of playtime together and apart. They were showered with love, treats and R&R on their vacation while the moms got to head out of town with peace of mind. And here at the Koven, we got plenty of return love, and even more laughs!

Thank you and .pibble.pile for trusting us with your sweet babies. We miss them already and can't wait for next time!! 🐾💜

To our Kreature family - we are so unbelievably honored that you continue to trust us with your babies. 💜

Starting today through the first week of July, we will be closed to any additional boardings beyond what is currently scheduled!

Just look at those eyes!!! Last weekend we welcomed first-timer Izzy the Dobie to the Kreature Koven, and she won are hearts with those beautiful eyes!!

Here are a few fun facts about Dobermans:

Dobermans are highly intelligent and trainable, ranking among the smartest dog breeds. They're quick learners and thrive on mental stimulation.

Dobermans are often used in search and rescue operations due to their keen sense of smell and strong tracking abilities.

Historically, their ears were cropped and their tails docked for aesthetic and practical reasons, but these practices are becoming less common due to changes in regulations and preferences.
