Kimber is back home after her spay. She still is not out of the woods with mastitis. I believe it is an abscess, at least part of it. We are treating it with antibiotics, cabbage leaves, topical ointment and keeping it covered while nursing on the other ones. Please say prayers for her.

Puppies are growing and a couple have started opening their eyes. I’m supplementing with milk for them while mom is trying to recover too.

This is probably one of the most difficult situations I’ve had to be part of while breeding, besides losing little ones once in a great blue moon.

We are home for the night. Tomorrow Kimber will have surgery to get spayed. This is her last litter. She has a uterine infection and needs to have it removed. We will be feeding the puppies by hand for part of the day tomorrow. Prayers and love for her please.
