Everyone say hello to Josie, our May pet profile. Ain't she cute?! Many of you know her, as she is a bit of a South Haven socialite. That Memorial Day weekend outfit is stylin, Angela LaBarca . 😎🐾

A greeting from Miss Josie:

"Hi, I’m Josie!

I started my story as a stray roaming the streets of South Bend… but right around that same time, something pretty special was happening. My mom was out there, quietly hoping for a new companion after losing her beloved Dash. Funny how life works—I think we were looking for each other all along.

Now? I’m full of energy (like… a lot), always ready for the next adventure, and I’ve never met a stranger. People? Love them. Dogs? Love most of them too. If you’ve got hands, I assume they’re for petting me—and I will politely (or not so politely) insist.

I’ve made quite a name for myself downtown. I never miss a parade and the dog-friendly shops. Some might say I’ve become a bit of a regular. I consider it part of my job to stop in, say hello, and spread a little joy (and collect a few treats along the way).

At the end of the day, I’m just a girl who got a second chance—and I’m making the absolute most of it. Running, loving, greeting, and reminding my mom every single day that she didn’t just rescue me… we found each other."
