Rio has made such great progress! We went for only being in the small pen to him helping take out sheep in the morning and bring them back to be penned at night. I really love working this cross cause it’s a great mix of natural talent and brains.

The curiosity of cattle is never ending…. And since people want to assume everything from a short clip, there was literally no cattle at the tank till Laney hopped in, then they swarmed her. That same curiosity is why we get cattle with a face full of porcupine quills…

I ended up trialing all the dogs this last weekend. Everyone finished the course, which I am very happy about. Laney needs some tune ups on her down. Cash was his usual self and took great flanks and downs. This was Kate’s first time trialing and she was just amazing. It blows my mind how this dog had come so far in 2 months of training. My plan was to just trial her the first day to see what she could do and it went so well, I ran her a second day.
