❌ The database no longer connects lost pets to their owners.

What You Need to Do:
To ensure your contact information is accessible if your pet is lost, please re-register their microchip at freepetchipregistry.com. This free service is connected to the AAHA Universal Lookup Tool, making it easy to find your contact info in an emergency.

If you’re unsure of your pet’s microchip number or need help, we’re happy to assist. Contact us to schedule a scan or ask questions.

Case of the Day ! 🐱

Meet Smalls, a one-year-old Brown Tabby. Smalls was brought in yesterday due to a lack of appetite and episodes of vomiting. During the physical examination, a string was discovered under his tongue. To conduct a more thorough evaluation, Smalls was sedated for radiographic imaging. Unfortunately, it was found that the string not only encircled his tongue but was also entangled in his stomach. Smalls was prepared for surgery, during which the string was successfully extracted. Following the procedure, he received an injection of antibiotics, an anti-nausea medication, and pain relief. After a restful recovery period, he was discharged this morning and is already showing significant improvement.

Case of the Day !

Meet Storm , she’s a 7 year old Black lab. Storm presented last Thursday for sneezing a lot and not acting like her normal self. It was noted that Storm is a hunting dog and was out a few days before the behavior started . Not being able to do a nasal exam that day she was sent home to be monitored.

Fast forward to today Storm came in for a sedated oral / nasal exam as the symptoms had worsened. Once Dr. Darin was able to look into the nasal passage we found the problem! A Cattail !

Once awake it was obvious Storm was feeling much better! She was sent home on Antibiotics to be sure no infection occurs.

Happy Friday, never know what veterinary medicine will bring !

Did you know that November is National Senior Pet month ! While age is not a disease, there are certain health conditions that affect our senior pets more often than younger ones.

Unfortunately an older pet is more likely to develop diseases such as heart, kidney, and liver disease; cancer; or arthritis. Behavioral changes may also occur. Senior pets require additional care, such as more frequent examinations, diagnostics.
