UPDATE: Steven has been adopted!
When Steven first arrived at our shelter in March, he was in rough shape. Severely emaciated and suffering from a painful case of βhappy tail,β this sweet 2-year-old mixed breed had clearly been through a lot. His tail injury was so severe that he ultimately needed a tail amputation to finally give him relief.
But despite everything, Steven never lost his spark!
With good food, medical care, and lots of love, Steven has completely blossomed into the goofy, energetic, joy-filled dog he was always meant to be. Now, youβll usually find him outside getting the zoomies, tossing around tennis balls, or trying his best to master the game of fetch (heβs still working on the whole βdrop itβ part π
).
Steven has participated in several dog playgroups while in shelter and has done very well with other dogs. We are unsure about how he does with cats or children. Heβs an active guy who would thrive in a home ready to match his enthusiasm for life, whether thatβs long walks, outdoor adventures, play sessions, or plenty of enrichment and activity to keep both his body and brain busy.
After everything heβs overcome, Steven deserves more than a kennel. He deserves a family who will continue helping him grow, explore, and enjoy the life he fought so hard to get back.
If you think Steven could be the missing piece to your home, come meet him today. β€οΈ
