🧡Here, Shannon is beginning liberty work in the round pen with her young filly, Umbelina d’Noble “Lina,” laying the foundation for a confident, willing partner as we prepare to begin Lina under-saddle journey with Sunflower Equestrian Center / Sunflower Lusitanos later this year or early next year. Beginning from the ground not only allows the pair to become connected, but also teaching the handler the key movements that will be utilized under saddle as well. Knowing how the body moves, understanding the timing of the hoof placement, and feeling how your body can impact and create movements in relation to your equine partner is a massive piece of understanding how to become a balance soft rider and the best version of yourself that you can give to your horse as an equestrian.
