These last couple of days I have been spring cleaning. I have bundled up a very huge, heavy box packed full of my sons outgrown clothes.
I want to donate these items to someone in dire need.
Back in June 2016 I was two months from delivering Kyler my only child.
On June 16th a devastating and highly destructive fire took absolutely everything I owned from me. Nothing was salvageable and I didn't have renters insurance.
I was clearly a sitting duck and despite my pride, I was forced to accept help that was pouring in from the masses from my clients of my then pet grooming salon Gigi's Pet Grooming. Also from people I didn't even know from the city I once lived in Granbury, Tx. Word quickly spread and I had generous people from far away coming to my aid.
Things like clothes & shoes for everyone in my family and for my unborn baby, hygiene items, toys, furniture, decorations, blankets and towels, baby necessities, cribs, kitchen ware, food/water and even money.
My grooming shop became flooded with all shorts of extraordinary items.
I was even given a temporary place to stay with two different clients of mine.
The out pour of love and support was at times very overwhelming as well as an humbling experience. Oh how grateful I was for these acts of kindness.
I want to pay it forward and be a vessel of relief for someone.
This is a relatively large amount of items I have gathered up. Who ever gets this will not have to buy their son not one piece of clothing for a whole THREE YEARS!
The items include:
Clothing size starting from 6months old thru 2T (2 & 3yr old)
Shoes & socks
Blankets
& miscellaneous items
I can't emphasize enough that I want these donations to go to a family who is TRULY in need please.
The clothes are in excellent condition and very gently used, heck some are still new.
Of course the clothes will come from my dog friendly house, so pet hair may be present. 😊
If a name of a worthy family has already come to your mind, or if that person may be you, I ask that you keep personal names out of the comments. Let's not do any thing to jeopardize their dignity and protect their privacy.
Feel free to comment and tell me their story but I ask that we keep from identifying the subjects name. We can decuse that detail in my messenger.
If you may be that person and can greatly benefit from my help, send me a personal message. If you don't mind. My biggest desire is to not exploit anybody's personal business.
I felt the love of a whole community and it has been engraved in my soul ever since.
It would be my biggest pleasure to bring that same kinda of emotions to the next person who needs a big blessing!!!
Miss all of y'all so much!
Love ya,
Gigi Rohmfeld
