The Humane Society of Young County was first established in 1979, and is currently the only shelter and rescue in Young County.

Today is National Dog Day! We have so many pups looking for homes of their own!

How do shelter staff spend their weekends?

Friday: Fixin' Feral (and Free-Roaming Cats) Friday! 26 cats spayed/neutered and vaccinated!

Saturday: Dogs bathed and taken to PetSmart in Wichita Falls where we kept our fingers crossed for adoptions (but had no luck, unfortunately).

Sunday: Transporting cats to rescue in Dallas so they can start their journey to their forever homes!

It was a busy week ending with an even busier weekend! Help with gas money is appreciated!
