Hi Everyone! It’s been 15 months since the store closed. After I shut down, I started following a group called Taylor TNrV. This group was set up by a vet tech named Kayla, who was trying to help people get their cats fixed. There was a grant at SNIP WV. She allowed us to trap and would transport the cats to the clinic and bring them back.

About two months ago, maybe less, I responded to a post from a lady requesting some assistance trapping some cats to get them fixed. someone else in that area saw the post and also requested some assistance.

During the first session I only had 4 traps but we did get 4 fixed. Unfortunately there’s quite a few more of them and after the first 4 went in, I found out the grant ran out. Not wanting the colony to grow any larger, I collaborated with the lady to start a fundraiser. Next Saturday, October 7th, we will be at the Appalachian Fall Festival at the Tygart Lake Lodge. I believe the hours are 9 am to 4 pm.

These photos are of some of the handcrafted items we will be selling. I have more donations coming in. We’d like to invite anyone that still follows this page. Please come out. We’ll be selling raffle tickets for the First Corinthians wall hanging and the Irish chain Quilt, Purple/White that is hanging on the rocker. We also received a Halloween and Christmas Wreath, both are super cute. I just need to get photos and post them.

There will also be a lot of other vendors at the lodge as well. Thanks for reading my post!

Although The store has closed, I wanted to share this post. The last fundraiser that we did was to raise money to help The Spirit of Animals Rescue. It was to get enough money to do mass spay and neuter up in Charleston. I went on the first trip with them to help transport and they fixed 16 that day.
Yesterday she went again and they took in 28.

The amount of work that goes into a project like this takes is ALOT. Gathers kennels, cleans them, create the the list, contacts others that also need to get animals fixed, prep papers for all, documents who is in which kennel. Rents a van to transport two days before in this case.

Get up at 4:30 am to start loading, drive to Charleston and drop off. Wait there all day to pick up, bring them all home, return to owners, care for the animals that actually belong to them, clean up all the kennels.

I’m just putting this out there because the fund raiser that I did, which was slightly over $2000, did not pay for all of this. Spaying and neutering neutering is an on-going thing, never ends.

Please keep this group in your thoughts when you are thinking about donating 🐾💕🐾💕🐾

There are quite a few things but compared to what was in there before, it’s looking very slim. I’m sorry but tomorrow will be a busy day as we sell what we can and pack up items as well. There will be no holds, I won’t be responding to questions on Facebook and it will be cash sales only.
Prices are so low that I do not want to pay additional fees to a credit card company. Thank you for your understanding.

Open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week, before our doors close for good. 10 am to 4 pm.

Good morning! I woke up this morning and thought to myself, just three more days. 🐾💕🐾. Although we’ve sold a lot of things, we still have a lot of things left - new and used.

If you come in, one thing you may immediately notice, is that the beautiful Swan Creek Candle cabinet is gone. However, we have a lot of Swan Creek candles and wax melts left. They’ve been relocated to two different sections in the store.

Current discount is 75% off items with green tickets and 60% off of items with white and yellow tickets. The discounts are off or the original prices. There is no discount off of items that are already marked down.

Hours: 10 am to 3 pm

I want to thank everyone that has come out and supported the store and our mission, over the past year. I’ve received a lot very kind comments about the store.

I have been asked a lot of questions and I’m going to try my best to answer them.

Most frequently asked question is when is our last day. My answer is the 22nd. Afterwards we will be coming in and will begin packing it up and cleaning up. If you see us there, you can come in and look and continue to shop, but our goal is to pack up as quickly as possible.

Next question is what is going to happen to every thing. All donated items will be forwarded to a few different non profits. Anna Jarvis house will get the first pick. Olive was one of our first supporters and I really admire the work that she does. She holds huge sales a couple times a year to help support The Anna Jarvis House, a museum. It’s important to our community and I feel it’s important we all do what we can to support her as well.

Another question frequently asked is what about appointments for spaying and neutering. I have not booked any subsidies beyond June. Once the store is closed, I’m starting a new job. I’ll be giving it my full attention and want all loose ends tied up before I start. It was made clear to everyone that was on the list for a subsidy, that the appointments needed to be scheduled and completed by the last day of June.

I’m sure many of you want to know what will happen to any left over funds. It’ll go to a non-profit of my choice. Preference will go to a cat group for spaying and neutering. After the accountant completes the final books, I’ll make the determination.

And now I’m going to make an announcement about discounts. To date it’s been fifty percent off of everything, cash only.

Today I am going to start off with 75% off of ALL GREEN tickets. Come in and get the items tagged with green price tags for 75% off all CASH sales.

You can also get 60% off the original price-items with a white and yellow price tag off on all CASH sales.
