Wonderful Wins at WEC! Kensley Farm does it again under the expert guidance of our trainer, Laurie Storey! Too many great ribbons to list! Among the highlights—-
**Kim and her horse United Colors “Fala” were Champions in Walk Trot Equitation and Reserve Champions in Opportunity Crossrails Equitation! Kim and Fala continue to make great strides in the show ring together!
**Chloe and her horse Shannaghmore “Marty” won Reserve Championships in the USHJA 2’3 and the Non-Pro 2’3” divisions! They are getting ready to take the next steps together!
**Dani rode both of her horses beautifully! Dani and Lilibet “Lilly” won 2nd place ribbons in the Baby Greens and Low Adult Hunter classes! Dani and Elliott won a blue ribbon in the USHJA 2’6” under saddle and brought home a 4th in the over fences class. Dani and Elliott won ribbons in the Low Adult Equitation classes! Dani rode Lilly and Elliott in the $750 Low Adult Hunter classic, winning ribbons with both!
**Jane and her horse Say When “Sadie” showed their elegant style, winning blue ribbons in the USHJA 2’ under saddle and the Opportunity Limit Hunter under saddle. They are advancing together over fences, gaining valuable experience in the show ring!

We appreciate our trainer Laurie Storey for all of her help and support— always finding ways to help us grow as riders and taking great care of us and our horses!

The Kensley team in action again at WEC! Many highlights!! Dani’s horse Elliott won 2nd place in the $15,000 USHJA National Derby and 2nd place in the $1000 USHJA Green Hunter Incentive 3’ and 3’3”! Dani’s young horse Lilibet “Lilly” was Champion in the Baby Green Hunters! Kim’s horse United Colors “Fala” was Reserve Champion in the large USHJA 2’6” class! Kim advanced in her riding with Fala in the Opportunity Crossrails, winning a blue ribbon in the Equitation Flat! Ken and his new horse Silver Boy rode beautifully to win a blue ribbon in the Low Adult U/S and brought home ribbons in the Low Adult over fences and Classic. Jane and her horse Say When “Sadie” made great strides together in the Limit Hunter classes and won a second place in the USHJA Hunter 2’ U/S! Congratulations to our riders and horses! Many thanks to our trainer Laurie Storey who works tirelessly to make it all happen for us. A big thanks to Kelsey Epperson for the amazing rides on our horses! Thank you to our grooms Melissa and Morgan who took great care of our horses and us! Thanks to Jen Davis for the beautiful braids (and charms!). Celebrating 2024 Year End Awards!! Congratulations to our Kensley Farm horses and riders for an outstanding year! Thanks to our trainer Laurie Storey!

The USHJA Zone Horse of the Year Awards went to Dani’s horse Lilly (Lilibet), Missy’s horse Candy (I Candy FF), and Sarah’s horse Bernie (Bernard)! Lilly was 3rd in Zone 5 Ch II and 6th nationally for USEF Ch II in the USHJA 2’ Division! Candy was 4th in Zone 5 Ch 1 in Low Adult Amateur Hunters! Bernie was 3rd in Zone 5 Ch II in the Green Hunter 3’ Division!

Missy and her horse Candy were also KHJA Reserve Champions in the Low Adult Hunters (local), 5th in Low Adult Hunters (regular), and 5th in Low Adult Equitation. Missy and Candy also won OHJA awards with 7th in the OHJA Low Adult Cup, and 8th in Low Adult Hunters.

WEC Winter Classic Wonders!! The Kensley team came away with major wins in this sold out show! A few of the many highlights:
**Dani’s horse Elliott won the 15k USHJA National Derby and was Champion in the 3’ Green Hunters!
**Dani’s horse Lilly was Champion in both the Baby Green Hunters and the USHJA 2’9 Hunters!
**Sarah’s horse Bernie won Third Place in the 15k USHJA National Derby!
**Chloe’s and her horse Marty were Champions in the Non Pro 2’3” Hunters—- their first step toward advancing to the 2’6” classes!
**Ken and his new horse Silver Boy had their first show together and were Champions in the Low Adult Hunters!
**Kim and her horse Fala stepped up to the Crossrails and brought home 2nd and 3rd place ribbons! They were Champions in Walk Trot Equitation!
**Fala was also Champion in the USHJA 2’6” Hunters!

All of this would not have been possible without the expert training and constant support of our trainer Laurie Storey! We thank Kelsey Epperson for the amazing and beautiful rides on our horses! Congratulations to Kim and United Colors (“Fala”) for their 2024 year-end awards! They were Champions in the KHJA regular Walk Trot Equitation!! They received 5th place ribbons in both the Special Hunters and Walk Trot Equitation for OHJA!! What an amazing first year of showing for this pair! They are already advancing together in shows for 2025, which promises to be another great year! Thanks to our trainer, Laurie Storey, family, friends, and the whole Kensley team for all the support!

First WEC show of 2025 was a huge success! Jane and her horse Sadie did their first WEC show and won 1st in the Limit Hunter under saddle and 3rd in the Limit Equitation classes! Bernie collected great ribbons in the WEC Hunter 3’ classes and won 7th place in the USHJA National Derby! Dani’s young horses wowed us all with Elliott winning Reserve Championship in the Green Hunter 3’ and Lilly bringing home Reserve Championships in both the USHJA 2’6” and 2’9” classes!! Elliott entered his first Derby and brought home 8th place in the USHJA National Derby with an impressive first round score of 86! Wonderful WEC Week! Many highlights!! Sarah’s horse Bernie won Reserve Championship in the Green Hunters and took home an amazing and exciting 2nd place finish in the $15,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby with special rider Kelsey Epperson!! Kelsey also rode Dani’s horse Elliott to win the Championship in the Baby Greens! Dani and Elliott collected a second and many other ribbons in the Non Pro classes. Dani and her other horse Lilly made great strides in the Low Adult Hunters and Intermediate Adult Equitation classes, winning second and third place ribbons and placing 4th in the $3500 Non Pro Derby! Our trainer Laurie Storey and Chloe rode Chloe’s horse Marty to win the Championship in a large USHJA 2’ class! Chloe and Marty won 3rd in the WEC Medal class! Chloe and Marty also added to their large ribbon collection in the Limit Hunters and Equitation classes! Kim and her horse Fala won the flat class in the Walk Trot Ground Rails and second place ribbons over the poles! We are very proud of our Kensley team for the many accomplishments! A big thank you to Kelsey Epperson who had beautiful rides on our horses! Many thanks to our Trainer Laurie Storey who works so hard to bring out our best with her incredible expertise and support! Magical Weekend at Windfall!
Congratulations to Chloe for her Championship in the Limit Hunters with her amazing horse Marty! Jane and her lovely horse Sadie captured the Reserve Championship in the Limit Equitation Class! And a special welcome to Emme who had her first horse show with the wonderful Dusk and got a third place ribbon in the Walk Trot Equitation Poles and great ribbons in all her other classes!
