It's that time of the year! Female raccoons are breaking into homes through various structural weaknesses, in hopes of finding safe, clean and quiet places to birth and nurse their young. We employ a handful of tools and techniques to safely, swiftly and humanely remove and then prevent future access to these spots, but occasionally we run into scenarios where we CAN'T physically access the pups, and this can prove to be difficult...so we use a method we call "trap/harrass/release", where we catch the mother, stress her out a little (nobody is harmed) and then release her back into the structure. This obviously seems VERY counterintuitive to professional wildlife removal, and I highly recommend not attempting on your own without proper training , equipment or experience....BUT TRUST OUR PROCESS!! This resilient lady moved her pups within 12 hours, doing the work for us and allowing us to close up the structure without trapping! (Additional footage in the comments)

Alright folks, we're nearing the end of kit/pup-season and that means many animals have been taken to local licensed rehabilitators. Being in this busy time of year, the rehabilitators require a TON of items like NEWSPAPERS, CLEANING SUPPLIES, CAT AND DOG FOOD, AND FROZEN MEAT THAT WOULD OTHERWISE BE THROWN OUT. If you have any of these items and can make a donation, I would be more than happy to swing by and pick it up from you, just DM me and we'll set something up! Pretty decent day trapping groundhogs! Give us a call at 618-816-5289 for a free inspection and estimate! Even if you don't go with us, PLEASE hire a professional wildlife service and not an insect exterminating company, a landscaping company or just some friend or neighbor with a live trap. Without a commercial wildlife license, it is indeed considered poaching.

Caught this armadillo in a groundhog set on a job where there was seemingly zero armadillo sign or damage. Nevertheless, this animal will not be released on site to create future issues for this particular customer! Now just to catch this elusive whistle-pig!

Let's talk a little about non-target catches! We at FaunaPro Wildlife Control employ detailed programs tailored to every species....HOWEVER, some species have very broad and diverse diets, and will be attracted to the same baits and lures as the intended target animal. Our clients have the option of allowing these non-targets to be immediately released on-site, but our Control Operators MAY recommend removing them to keep the program efficient and effective!
