We are a small and large animal veterinary clinic serving the town of Gordon, Georgia, within Wilkinson County and the outlying counties for over forty years. From our first office opening in the heart of Gordon in January 1975 to our present location just two miles outside the city limits, we have always strived to provide the best care to the animals through exceptional veterinary services. ook great pride in offering quality help and care for the animals for an affordable price. Our current Resident Veterinarian, Dr. Valerie S. Reynolds, has been in the veterinary field for over twenty years. She and our staff continue to bring quality work and service to our customers and their pets. We currently offer surgery and general practitioner services (including vaccinations, allergies, heartworm prevention, prescriptions, and flea and tick medications). We also have a Grooming Salon and a Pet Supply Store. Both are open five days a week and are accessible from the main office's parking lot. We accept all forms of payment (cash, check, credit, and debit card. We do not accept Care Credit. We hope to see all of you soon. We do not offer Elective Boarding, C-sections, or After Hours Services.

The Gordon Animal Clinic is now accepting applications for a full-time Kennel Tech position. This is a 40-plus-hour position. Job duties include cleaning kennels and kennel areas, as well as performing other janitorial duties. You will be responsible for feeding, watering, and sometimes walking patients. This job takes a strong stomach and a kind heart.

We are looking for a dependable and caring individual. You need to be strong enough to pick up a 50+ lb dog, but kind enough to give the care needed while they’re here in our care.

Position: Veterinary Assistant
Hours:
• 45-50 plus hours per week

Responsibilities:
• Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures
• Provide care and comfort to animals
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the clinic
• Communicate with pet owners and provide information on pet care
• Perform clerical duties as needed

Qualifications:
• Love for pets is required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. plus
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• 18 years old or older

Benefits:
• Dental and Vision insurance
• Paid time off
• Starting pay is $11.00 per hour
• Overtime pay after 40 hours

Our Story

We have been serving the town of Gordon, Georgia within Wilkinson County and the out lying counties for over forty years. Dr. Ivey C. Dennard has been in veterinary medicine for over fifty years. His own country side manner and friendly service are seen every day. His protegee, Dr. Valerie S. Reynolds, has been in the veterinary field herself for over ten years running. Both of these doctors continue to bring quality work and service for a down home country price.

We currently offer Surgery, General Vaccinations, Prescriptions and Boarding. As well as the clinic proper, we have a Grooming salon that is opened five days a week, as well as a Pet and Supply store across the parking lot from the main office. We accept all forms of payment (cash, check, credit and debit card. Sorry, we do not accept Care Credit.)
