Oh Lizzey you just make me smile. She clocked a 2D time, towards bottom but that’s ok for as little as she’s gone and it was tough little race to boot. I think she likes this gig!! She’s coming along so well. ❤️🥳😊

Corona made a nice 2D run yesterday at Devers to get a little $$. We’re finally getting our first more consistent 🙌. This was first time he’s been sub 17 at this arena 🎉 he ran a 16.8.

Can’t leave Lizzey out. I didn’t enter her (wish I had). I was concerned I couldn’t get separated enough so opted to just work her through after. She just wants to please. It started to rain, sounds looks worse in vid but it wasn’t that bad. She got a warp speed warm up and did this without asking anything of her. Can you tell I’m excited over this big beautiful gal? 💕Love her!!

I Like Corona aka Corona won the 2D last night. We finally got our first barrel, it’s been a struggle lately for some reason. We got it together last night. It’s been a lot of two steps forward, two steps back for us but we’re getting there!! Finally! He’s got so much talent whether it be on barrels or on a cow. I’ve had to continually tweak little things but hopefully I can showcase what I know he can do. 🎉🥰

Ima East River Guy aka River made nice run last night to win the 1D. He’s been off couple weeks due to minor boo boo (cut foot, he swore he broke his leg 🤦‍♀️). I Like Corona won the 2D (he’ll get his own post). Breezed Lizzey through after and she did awesome too. It was great night!! Horses and jockey all showed up at same time…rare 🤣. 🎉🎉

My beautiful Lizzey, I’m having so much fun with her. She’s coming along so well specially considering we don’t work barrel’s much nor haul consistently 😬, very excited to see her develop and where we go. Thanks Devers Photos, always capturing our fun moments.

Got some nice pics from the Wed evening Devers Jackpot of Corona and Lizzey. Corona made a nice 2D run but we unfortunately got 3rd, rider error for sure😬🤦‍♀️, but he did good! Lizzey won 2nd in 4D. I slowed her down on 1st to work on couple things that’ll hopefully lead to better success down the road and felt we accomplished what we were after. She’s such a fun mare. 🥰

Not too shabby for an old NFR bronc stomper and retired race horse (just under $300k in lte). Dan is loving making Corona into an all around rope horse. He’s anxious to start team roping on him. He’s such a fun horse!! ❤️

We’ve made some nice runs this weekend, not overly profitable, but the horses are working nice for not running much this year (or at all 😬). We started at slack for Garden City, KS rodeo, River worked really nice in some sticky mud, sometimes you just aren’t up when need to be and that’s part of it. He handled it great tho. Today we ventured over to Perryton, TX for a little jackpot at Devers. We always love going there. We took Diasti, Corona and Lizzey. Diasti and Corona have not been run since last year (maybe Nov???, long enough I can’t remember lol). Life has just been happening since mid Dec plain and simple 🤷‍♀️. Diasti was 2nd in 1D (vid below). She was quite sassy warming up, but all business when it came to run. Corona was 2nd 2d. I’m making some adjustments to my riding with him and I got it mostly right 😆 I’ll keep working on me (it’s never ending 😜). I set up little soon on 2nd, I did that with River at Garden too so obviously it’s a me thing (please see the I’ll keep working on me part 😅). I hopped on Lizzey after to ride and work. She didn’t do too shabby, figured a thing or two out I can do to help her succeed more on our first barrel at least. We are getting the rust knocked off, getting into shape and looking forward to hitting some races and rodeos!!
