We welcome you to participate in our Halloween Day Camp, an exciting afternoon featuring horseback lessons, entertaining games, and creative horse decorating. We encourage participants to wear their favorite costumes and showcase their imagination. A contest will be held to evaluate costumes and horses, and light refreshments will be provided. ā¤ļø Little girls and horsesā€¦
Itā€™s never just a childhood phase.
Itā€™s the start of a foundation for life.

Horses donā€™t just teach riding.
They teach patience when nothing clicks.
Responsibility when stalls must be cleaned before play.
Grit when a stubborn pony refuses to cooperate.

They show that trust isnā€™t given...itā€™s earned.
Through consistency.
Through respect.
Through time.

Every little girl who swings a leg over a horse learns:
Falling doesnā€™t mean failing.
It means getting up, dusting off, and trying again.

Discipline isnā€™t punishment...itā€™s commitment.
Kindness isnā€™t weakness...itā€™s strength.
Confidence isnā€™t being loud....itā€™s showing up, even when youā€™re scared.

Horses shape little girls into women who donā€™t quit when life gets hard.
Women who know sweat and sacrifice come before reward.
Women who carry themselves with grace,
but arenā€™t afraid to dig in and fight when it matters.

Itā€™s the 6 a.m. feedings.
The cold winter rides.
The tears after tough lessons,
and the laughter after small victories.

Itā€™s brushing a horse in the quiet of the barn,
realizing responsibility never takes a day off.

So yesā€¦
little girls may grow out of braids and pony bows.
But they never outgrow the lessons their horses taught them.

And maybe thatā€™s the greatest gift of all.

Pine Ridge Stables was established in 2002 in Virginia. We love teaching children to ride, we offer summer riding camps for Beginnerā€™s to Intermediate riderā€™s. We have private lessons and group lessons. We teach on hands on instruction in horse care and health basics, safety and handling, proper equipment use and care and other topics . We also welcome community group visits by appointment. Adults are always welcome to come and ride to. Maybe you rode as a kid, have the jitters that come along with getting back in the saddle. We will help you get there and build up your confidence to continue riding for many years to come! We teach Hunt Seat and Western Riding. Our Instructor Connie Brisbane has been on and around horseā€™s since she was a child. Started showing at a young age . She trained with private barns in Canada when she was younger. Making trips up from Vermont to stay with her grandmother in Montreal. From there she went to work for Black Acres Stables, in Colorado in which she taught riding, and showed competitively throughout many states . Finally ending up in Horse Country. Virginia! Connie is a Certified Instructor under the British Horse Society.

We have moved back to Somerset Pa for the winter months. Hope to see you soon.
