🎃🐾 Happy Howl-o-ween from all of us at the clinic! 🐾👻

It’s the spookiest time of year, and we’re ready for all the tricks, treats, and Halloween fun! 🐶🐱🧡

While you’re enjoying the festivities, here are a few tips to keep your furry family members safe:

🍫 Keep chocolate and candy out of paws’ reach. 🕯️ Keep pets away from candles and spooky decorations. 👻 Give pets a safe, quiet place away from trick-or-treaters. 🚪 Be mindful of open doors to prevent curious pets from sneaking outside.

From our clinic family to yours, we hope you have a spooktacular Halloween filled with treats, tail wags, and happy purrs! 🧡🖤

Have a safe and happy Halloween from all of us at Gooding Vet Clinic! 🐾🎃

EAR MITES IN CATS & DOGS

Is your pet constantly scratching their ears or shaking their head?

Ear mites could be the culprit! Ear mites are tiny parasites that live in the ear canal. They are especially common in cats but can affect dogs too.

🔎 Signs to watch for:
• Excessive scratching
• Head shaking
• Red or irritated ears
• Dark, crumbly “coffee-ground” debris
• Unpleasant odor

🕷️ Ear mites are contagious between pets, so if one pet has them, other pets in the household may need to be checked. Not every itchy or dirty ear is caused by mites. Yeast, bacteria, allergies, and other ear problems can look similar, so a veterinary examination is the best way to determine the cause.

If your pet's ears are itchy, irritated, or looking a little dirty, let us take a look!

🐾💙 MEET CHARLIE & HANK! 💙🐾

Sometimes you make a plan for one puppy… and then another one comes along and completely steals your heart! 🥹🐶

Meet Hank, a handsome Miniature Australian Shepherd whose new family was eagerly waiting for his arrival. They were excitedly counting down the days until Hank would finally be home and their family would be complete. 💙

But while they were waiting for Hank…

Cute little Charlie showed up—literally almost at their doorstep! 🐾❤️

And just look at that face! 😍 That sweet little cheese face made it pretty hard to say no.

So, what started as a family waiting for Hank turned into two adorable pups joining the family! 🥰

Hank and Charlie may have arrived in two completely different ways, but they both found themselves exactly where they belonged. ❤️

We can't wait to watch these two grow up and see what kind of adventures they get into together!

🐶 Welcome to the Gooding Vet Clinic family, Charlie & Hank! 🐾

And seriously… who could say no to that face?! 🧀😂❤️

🐾💙 MEET DUDE! 💙🐾

This is Dude, and he is one big happy Idaho S**g! 😂🐶

We absolutely LOVE when our patients come through the doors jumping for joy because they’re excited to see us! 🥹❤️

Dude certainly didn't waste any time showing us just how happy he was to be here. With all that bouncing, wiggling, and enthusiasm, we think it's safe to say this boy has decided the vet clinic is a pretty fun place to visit!

We love seeing those happy faces and wiggly tails—and especially when our patients are excited to see us instead of running for the door!

Keep jumping for joy, Dude! We’re always happy to see you! 💙🐾

Who else has a pup who thinks coming to the vet is the best part of their day? 👇🐶

🐾 A Fun Day in Fairfield! 🐾

We had such a wonderful house call in Fairfield! We had the pleasure of performing health exams and vaccinating 10 dogs at the Luther family’s beautiful ranch. Most of these sweet pups were incredibly friendly, fun, and happy to see us! ❤️

Lori was definitely one of our favorites—she was athletic, sweet, curious, and very “helpful” during her exam! 🐶💕

A big thank-you to the Luther family for inviting us to their beautiful ranch and trusting us with the care of their furry family members. We always love getting to provide veterinary care right where pets are most comfortable—at home! 🏡🐾

🐾💙 Happy Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week! 💙🐾

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible veterinary technicians who make our clinic—and our patients’ lives—better every single day!

Vet techs are the heart of veterinary medicine. They comfort nervous patients, assist with exams and procedures, monitor anesthesia, draw blood, administer medications, educate pet owners, clean up the messes (big and small 😅), and somehow manage to do a hundred things at once—all while giving their patients endless compassion and care.

Our veterinary technicians work hard behind the scenes and right alongside our veterinarians, and we truly couldn’t do what we do without them. Their knowledge, dedication, patience, and love for animals make such a difference. ❤️

To our amazing vet tech team: Thank you for everything you do! We appreciate you more than you know, and we are so lucky to have you on our team! 🐶🐱🐾

Help us celebrate our wonderful vet techs this week by giving them a big THANK YOU! 💙
