Yesterday Ronnie placed 2nd by one point.
JFI’s Sadie won reserve high point female and Rufus was reserve high point male.

Had some tough luck with his draw of cattle today but these three dogs worked dang good.

-Jewel (white ribbon)
-Smokey (red ribbon)

Top 10 runs tomorrow, sitting 3rd currently !

Wishing Ronnie and his dogs the best of luck this weekend as they compete in the NALC dog trials in St. Gabriel!

Today’s dogs are:
-Sadie (Blue Ribbon)
-Du (White Ribbon)
-Rufus (Red Ribbon)

This is Du’s first dog trial, he’s looking a little nervous 🤣 but we have all the faith in his ability.

Fun Fact: Sadie and Rufus are litter mates and have quickly become our go-tos when it’s time to pen.

At the 2022 NALC dog trials Sadie was reserve high point female and Rufus was high point male. Not to often you get a pair this good🩵

Ronnie Fairchild created JFI catahoulas over 20 years ago !!

Although this breed is very versatile, working cattle is the main priority. After creating a pack of working cow dogs, competing in NALC cow dog trials was the next step.🤠 JFI and Ronnie Fairchild have become well known names in the NALC cow dog world. Since the early 2000’s there have been many high point male and female titles, several high point cowboy and national winner titles won by Ronnie and his dogs! 🏆🏆🏆

Through the years this bloodline has been sold solely from word of mouth based on its stellar reputation. Most commonly sold throughout the surrounding southern states, there have been some JFI catahoulas that hopped a plane to California, Canada, and even the Virgin Islands.✈️✈️ Word of mouth has worked for many years but with the help of technology (and a granddaughter who loves the dogs just as much) this page was created to share these amazing dogs with hopefully a new audience!
