Meet Saba our flood survivor with a heart of gold. On the night of July 5th during the devastating floods the National Guard reached out with an urgent call and by sunrise the next morning they had recovered a brindle dog injured but otherwise healthy.
The Guardsmen gave him his name Saba after San Saba the town where his journey began. We posted him as a found dog hoping an owner would come forward but no one ever did.

A week later the woman who had first stepped in to help save him from the flood zone came back because she could not forget the sweet loyal dog she had helped that night.

Since then Saba has shown us who he truly is gentle protective and loyal to the core. He does need to be the only dog in his home where he can be cherished as the center of attention. If you are searching for a faithful companion please consider adopting Saba.
