Well, that very special time of year has finally arrived!! Opening day of the 2024 Whitetail Archery season is upon us!! I’m sure many of you are just as excited as I am!!

Unfortunately, I do not intend to take very many deer season. I have the opportunity to work with another Taxidermist who has 40 plus years of experience. I’m really looking forward to increasing my skills in the art of taxidermy! Although I’m very proud of the quality mounts that have left my shop over the last few years, I will be better trained and experienced once I start taking in trophies again next fall!!
With that said, I still want to stress the importance of proper field care!! Any Taxidermist out there will sincerely appreciate you properly taking care of your trophy prior to bring it into their shop! Regardless of their experience and training, they are in a much better position to provide you with a quality mount if proper care has been taken.
There is a plethora of information available to you at your fingertips!! Do yourself a favor and educate yourself!!
