Today, as we celebrate KONG Day, we know this milestone belongs to you — the families, the dogs, and the cats who have made KONG part of their lives. KONG DAY 2025 IS ALMOST HERE! ❤️ Mark your calendars for August 4th as we kick off a month-long celebration of all things KONG®.

If you’re in Denver, Colorado don’t miss our event at Number Thirty Eight on Friday, August 1st, 5pm-9pm featuring delicious food, drinks, and local vendors.

Nationwide, our KONG retail partners will be joining in with special in-store events, and our KONG Day influencers will be highlighting the important work of shelters and rescues across the country.

We’ll also be hosting several giveaways throughout the month, so keep an eye on our social channels for more details.

Over forty years ago, Joe Markham was working on his VW bus, he tossed a rubber car part to his beloved German Shepherd, Fritz, to distract him from chomping on rocks and destroying his teeth. Fritz went crazy over the erratically, bouncy, irresistibly chewy car part.

A few modifications later, including added durability and the KONG Classic was born.

KONG was created in 1976 to help one dog. Since then, KONG toys have solved the needs of millions around the world.
