A huge thank you to everyone and their adorable fur friends who made it out to our KONG Day celebrations across the US! For 48 incredible years, KONG® has been bringing joy to pets' lives, and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than with you all. 🐾

For nearly half a century, we've been dedicated to making tails wag and purrs echo in homes everywhere. This year, we wanted to celebrate the pets that fill our hearts with joy and shine a spotlight on the amazing dogs and cats waiting for their forever homes at the rescues and shelters that joined our events.

In just a year, over 52,000 KONGs have been donated to shelters across the U.S. through the Second Chance KONG initiative!

VCA Charities and KONG have teamed up for the Second Chance KONG program, supplying shelters with "Second Chance KONGs"—toys with minor imperfections but perfect durability—largely reducing waste and providing valuable resources and enrichment to pets waiting on their forever homes. ❤️

Over forty years ago, Joe Markham was working on his VW bus, he tossed a rubber car part to his beloved German Shepherd, Fritz, to distract him from chomping on rocks and destroying his teeth. Fritz went crazy over the erratically, bouncy, irresistibly chewy car part.

A few modifications later, including added durability and the KONG Classic was born.

KONG was created in 1976 to help one dog. Since then, KONG toys have solved the needs of millions around the world.
