"Why Absolute Elevation?
Generally this happens one of two ways – a rider wants to compete at the upper levels and knows that FEI horses have their heads higher than old Dobbin at training level. So they slap a double on, shorten the reins and lift that head up as high as they can.
The other option is that perhaps there is a talented young horse with the aptitude for the upper levels. They are paired with a very ambitious rider who does not take the time to develop the horse muscularly and instead lifts the head before the body is ready to support the balance that the headset would imply.
Essentially they are shortcuts, either out of lack of ability, ignorance or ambition and at the expense of the horse. What results from this is a bodily breakdown, for there is never a chance for the muscles to develop once the headset is fixed in such a way. There is no such thing as putting the horse in the headset and then waiting for the muscles to develop afterward."

The controversy of rollkur within the world of dressage is not a new one. Also called hyperflexion, it is the practice of forcefully pulling a horse’s head into an extreme low, deep and round…

Such an important concept for people to understand. There is actually a ligament that also runs from the tongue to the sternum, emphasizing this even more. Not only is the tongue connected to muscle, but it's connected to bone and tension in that muscle (the tongue) can actually drag the bone down 😬😬. Not to mention there is also a cranial nerve and artery that come from the tongue as well (not actually sure of the proper name for those nerves, sorry about that). So tension in the tongue can also cut off blood supply to the brain and mess with the ability to learn and the horse's proprioception. Why I usually remove or loosen every noseband of any new horse in my ring and also why we strive to ride with absolutely no tension in our arms or shoulders. And also a reason to never ever have a backwards pressure on your horse's mouth.
I think this is one of the most important things for people to understand, if seeking relaxed self carriage and a seamless training progression. 😊

Hi Everyone,
Originally, when I created my Kinetic Equine Page, I did a business and personal page simply because the personal page is easier to Tag, navigate, and post on.
Well, apparently someone doesn't like that because I was reported to Facebook and they will be taking down my Kinetic Equine personal page next week. Please like this business page, that this post is coming from! I will be posting to this page more from now on :)
Thanks :)

Anyone looking for an AA safe young horse? I've got him here! Coming 5 yr old Polish related Arabian with some of the best bloodlines out there. Trained through training level dressage, schooling first, has jumped 2', does obstacles, trail rides alone or in company, no vices, no spook, tries hard and aims to please his rider. Rides ba****ck, with thread reins, with children. You won't find a better young horse to enjoy life with. Standing at 15.1h, he needs a petite rider but is easy to ride and handle. $15k in Salisbury, NC! Watch him on his trail ride this morning. All by himself and we encountered cows, mud, fields, woods, ect! (and yes, I was one handed. holding reins in one hand and my phone in the other... this is quite literally the BEST horse 😅) contact for more info

Update: dressage school from today (3/1/19) is posted in comments
I have videos of his first ride with a child as well as him riding with thread reins (single sewing thread attaching reins to bit) and multiple conformation videos. Please message if you want any of that. Thanks :)
