In an effort to care for all dogs on the Tillamook Coast, we're sharing this message from our friends at Tillamook K9 Rescue:

Here are some tips for keeping your pup safe during your Tillamook County visit:

🐾 Make sure your pup is wearing their collar with a name tag.
🐾 It is recommended to keep your dog on leash throughout your trip as they are in an unfamiliar area and can easily be distracted by sounds, smells, or wildlife.
🐾 If you choose to allow your dog to run free on the ocean shores, you are still responsible for their behavior. You must carry a leash with you at all times, and your dogs must be under direct control (within sight and responsive to commands).
🐾 Last but not least, please respect our home by picking up after your pooch!
