Today makes 3 weeks since we brought Cam home. Naturally, I gave him 3 🥕 when I got home from work. Looking so much better these days. He is quite a gentleman.

If anybody in the Glouster or AthensOH area has fill dirt that I could have or purchase please let me know. I don’t need a lot, but I do have an area where old fence posts were taken out that needs filled back in so the horses don’t end up in them.

Very eventful 36 hours for the new fellow.
I had a chance to to review the bloodwork with the vet yesterday and he has pretty significant anemia. $1600 in medication‘s arrived to the house this morning which we are getting started. To top it off our favorite Equine dentist gave Cam a float today. Ferrier is at the end of the month. Getting our little guy all fixed up!

Quick little walk around. Thank you all for being a part of the journey with us. We’ve covered quite a bit of ground, but quite a bit more to go.

Two weeks ago, we brought the sweet baby home. Intensive nutrition, a safe space to just relax, some Equine friends that he can see in another field. He has come a long ways and we still have a long ways to go but there’s also some beauty in that process as we get to see him step into his own.

The vet was here today and despite a sheath cleaning recently, and some bean removal, he was still somewhat struggling to urinate. Therefore, we completed blood work and I’m waiting on the results of that. Today is day five of Bactrim for his proximal hoof/coronary band issue.

We also found a small mass at the base of the neck on our mare, Alexia, and I’m calling Ohio State to see about getting in for biopsy with possible subsequent excision.

Top photo is the day we brought him home, the middle photo is after a wonderful week with us and the bottom photo is this morning, which is two weeks to the day.

Living her best life. A pallet to rub on, sunshine, mud and a breeze.

If the universe had a spirit animal… it would be Tildy.

Good evening. For those of you that are not aware our beloved Tildy is also now an escape artist. She now has a beautiful red gate in front of her enclosure. Thank you to everyone who texted, message, called regarding her being out. We try to be so diligent about checking the latches, etc. but somehow she wandered out. The night she greeted me by carrying around her feed sack, clearly she is not holding a grudge about the new gate 🤣
