The snow was a hit with some the pups in rescue, while others hated it. But Ruger enjoyed it the most probably. This boy has gone from being severely matted living in a tiny cage out in the freezing cold in Dec/Jan to loving playing.
UPDATE: He survived surgery. Thankfully a foster/volunteer was able to use her credit card to pay for it as was an emergency surgery. We must raise the funds to pay the card.
This evening we were notified of 2 kittens who were trapped at Kings Dominion. Immediately noticed 1 of the kittens has rectal prolapse, so we had kitten taken straight to ER Vet. Idris is now in surgery to replace the prolapse back inside. We definitely was not prepared to have this expense tonite. Estimate is at least $1200.

Listen to the hungry babies. Mama Kelcey and her 10 Mini Me are happy to provide your Tuesday Pick me up. Most of these chunky babies have reached 2 pounds and are opening their eyes. This remarkable progress is a testament to Kelsey's exceptional motherly care and her foster's outstanding dedication to providing Kelcey with lots of the best puppy food, plenty of TLC, and round-the-clock care. As we continue to care for Kelcey, Dusty Rose, the shepherd mix puppies, Kelcey’s always hungry hippos, and the soon-to-arrive babies, we are reaching out to our loyal supporters and followers for help. We are calling on you to make a difference in the lives of these precious animals. Please consider donating just $2 on this $2 Tuesday. This will enable us to help these innocent lives. Together, we can save animals who need us most.

As we're all on high alert, catering to her every whim and watching her like a hawk, Dusty Rose seems totally chill about going into labor and releasing the hostages. We don't know her exact due date, but she's dropping some serious hints that it's almost go time. Which means we're stuck in baby-watch mode. Fingers crossed she doesn't decide the perfect moment to kick out the free-loaders is during the snowstorm tonight or tomorrow. Luckily, her foster is on top of things and taking fabulous care of her.
Mama Kelcey babies are 1 week old today. They are all over 1 pound now and have established a sleep/eat cycle so that so far mama is able keep up with all 10 of them. Mama is such a sweet girl and is so patient. She is enjoying all her meals of her puppy food, formula, cooked chicken, etc. Feeding 10 babies is hard work for Kelcey which means she has to eat alot and rarely gets to truly rest. This video shows how content she is and trusting.
Please help us with food and supplies as we now have 2 mamas in rescue plus 4 puppies. Which will soon be soooo many babies eating also.
With Mama Kelcey and her team of 10, the other 4 babies, and now Dusty Rose, we're going to need a steady supply of Purina Pro Plan Puppy food, canned puppy food, puppy pee pads, puppy formula, toys, dewormer, flea meds, bleach, cleaning supplies, and other essential items to ensure these remarkable animals receive the care they deserve.

Ursela is thriving and happy in her foster-to-adopt home. After being in a shelter where she was too fearful to be touched, she is now happy and loved. We are working closely with our veterinarian to schedule her spaying procedure after she experienced a near-fatal reaction to anesthesia during a previous attempt.
