The High Desert Humane Society Cat and Dog Shelter has new furry friends who are eager to find their forever homes for the Holidays. We invite you to visit the shelter, located at 700 Hackney Ave./Shelter Lane, Globe, AZ 85501. Our facility operates from Tuesday to Saturday, with hours from 10 AM to 3 PM. Come meet our animals and consider giving one a loving home! There are so many ways to show love to animals! Here are some ideas:

1. **Adopt:** Consider adopting a pet from a shelter. There are countless animals waiting for a loving home.

2. **Volunteer:** Spend some time at your local shelter, walking dogs, playing with cats, or helping with cleaning and maintenance.

3. **Foster a Pet:** If you can't commit to a long-term adoption, fostering a pet in need can provide them with a safe and loving temporary home.

4. **Donate:** Consider donating food, toys, or funds to your local animal shelters or rescue organizations. Every little bit helps!

Every act of kindness towards animals contributes to their well-being and happiness!

Shortly after I arrived at work Monday a kind community member posted this little guy on Facebook. I quickly messaged our board and we stepped in. I met the community member after work on Monday. Tuesday morning the kitten was transported to the wonderful folks at Brookview Animal Wellness.

Today, Tres (Spanish for 3 of course!), had surgery. He lost his hind leg, was neutered, and had a nasty laceration on his belly cleaned up and stitched closed. He's recovering and the next 5 days will be vital to his recovery. Once he's healed and has learned to navigate on three legs he'll go to the main shelter for adoption.

The post is a little late, but wanted to share some great photos from our Dia de Mu***os themed Auction for the Animals. So many people showed up in their best Day of the Dead Attire. A big shout out to Chef Jordan E for the delicious food, Miami Lions Club for hosting the bar and looking festive for the occasion, and Rueben Rivera duo for looking scary good and sounding even better. CVAC was a beautiful venue . We at HDHS and our animals are all grateful for the community support including the great donations that we had for our auction. It was a great time

This is our very own Dog Whisperer, Wil Bowen, just hanging out and being himself last night at the Fall Pumpkin Patch event at Waggin Winery and Estate hosted by Kismet. Thank you for letting us be part of your event! We had a Blast! Our Puppy Palooza event continues this weekend!
