The day after passing UBT1 certification, we ran tracks from 7 am to 7 pm. 2 recovered bulls, with a 3rd that we all determined was a very low brisket shot that the elk would survive. It has been a very busy week here in Wyoming!

It's been hectic over here! The number of tracks we have been able to take have been limited (health issues keep coming up and work) but we have had a few! First was an almost 10 mile elk track in the bighorn that unfortunately proved unsuccessful and another 4 mile track down by elk mountain with the same result. Both taught us alot, and the dogs have done great with the circumstances. On Sunday we went for an antelope track, and on top of finding the hunters buck, the dogs found 3 older carcasses along the way. We will get a video together for that soon.

We try our hardest but alot of the time it's really rough and won't have the expected outcome, but we keep pushing to help!

We had such an amazing experience this morning! We got our first call to track an antelope last night outside Pathfinder. When we got there this morning we did a walkthrough of the initial hit sight but couldn't find any blood. We decided to work Nova and Orion toward the direction the hunter last saw him go hoping to find some blood. They did such a good job scenting around and working so hard! Nova ended up unknowingly spooking the antelope out of some sagebrush. He was fine, and now the hunter has a chance to get him again while having a clear conscious that he didn't wound and lose an animal. We are so happy that we were able to work the dogs and have such a great conversationalist!

Orion had his first real track while we were at elk camp for a week. In the end we didn't find the bull, and we think it may have been a brisket shot that the bull probably walked away from. 4.25 miles with his nose down the whole time. Very impressed with our pup 💙

Took a drive to laramie on Friday, put up some fliers, then went out this morning, went to albany lodge, checked a trail camera and set 2 more, and talked with some hunters before coming home. Hunting season is getting close!

Took a few drives up into the mountains, talked with some hunters, and saw all kinds of animals. Season is just around the corner!
