❣️Adopt Whiskey ❣️

Hi, I'm Whiskey, and through no fault of my own, my previous owner just decided that she didn't want the responsibility of dog ownership. So, my pal, Snow and I were lovingly taken in by Hatton Animal Rescue. Snow was just adopted, so now it's my turn! I'm a very good boy - I am friendly with children and other dogs, housetrained, and crate trained. I have a high prey drive, so very small dogs or cats are not my cup of tea. Otherwise, if you are looking for a mature, well behaved gentleman to share your space, apply today.

PLEASE NOTE: Whiskey is not neutered due to health issues - he is on a special kidney diet. We are looking for someone who will be dedicated to maintaining his health, preferably with breed experience. Fosters also welcome to apply!

Meet Grampa: Living His Golden Years in Style! 🌾👑

Every flock has a wise elder, and here at Hatton, that’s our sweet Grampa! Estimated to be between 8 to 10 years old, this handsome boy has officially hung up his early-morning crowing duties and entered full-time, well-deserved retirement.

Grampa deals with severe arthritis in his left leg, which means he takes life at his own leisurely pace these days. He’s set up comfortably in our special needs area. He doesn’t have to go far to get food and water and he can be with his other special needs friends. He might not be running around the yard, he doesn't let his leg slow his spirit down one bit. He spends his days soaking up the fresh air, watching the sanctuary happenings, chatting with his neighbors, and being pampered with all of his favorite treats.

Caring for senior and special-needs residents like Grampa is at the very heart of what we do. He is safe, comfortable, deeply loved, and truly living his absolute best life in retirement.

We even have a special house for our special babies. We lovingly call it “Misfit Mansion”.

These little rescues went from tiny lost babies to full-blown sunshine and water-play enthusiasts in what feels like the blink of an eye.

They spent yesterday discovering just how much fun a deeper pool, soft grass, and warm sunshine can be—and their happy little splashes are completely contagious!

Imagine losing your whole world and only having your best friend to lean on. That’s Eli and Jasmine’s story. After their beloved human passed away, this sweet mother-daughter duo made a promise: to stick together no matter what.

🏡 🩵MAX STILL NEEDS A HOME!

Hi, I'm Max and I hail from Texas. Just to let you know, if you've ever heard the phrase "age is just a number", well, it is definitely true.
While I am a senior gentleman, I am definitely medium energy and would enjoy a good long walk or two a day.

I do fine on leash, appear to be housetrained, and don't mind my crate.

In general, I am very confident and friendly with people and other dogs, but I've never been cat tested, my foster thinks I may be a "chaser". Not to harm one, but they might be fun to play with. As for dogs, I prefer a slower introduction, as sometimes I will growl a bit before getting comfortable with my playmates.

So, if you are ready for a little senior s***k in your life, apply today - btw, I am not a barker, so would be apartment/Townhome friendly!

You never know what sweet surprises will turn up at the sanctuary! One of our tiny bantam hens had been secretly hiding up high in the henhouse rafters—and we had no idea until she surprised us with two brand-new little babies!

They are so tiny, and mama is already doing such an amazing job showing them the ropes.

It’ll be a few months before we know if they’re little hens or future roosters, but for now, they are just pure fluff!
