The National Weather Service is monitoring the potential for severe thunderstorms across the area Tuesday, with the greatest threat expected between approximately 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.

The main concern is damaging winds, potentially reaching 80 mph or higher, as storms could quickly develop into a fast-moving line. Heavy rain and localized flooding are also possible.

Residents are encouraged to:

• Secure outdoor furniture and other loose items before the storms arrive.
• Have multiple ways to receive weather alerts.
• Stay weather-aware throughout the day and monitor changing conditions.
• If a severe thunderstorm warning is issued, move indoors and stay away from windows.
• Never drive through a flooded roadway.

The timing and exact location of the strongest storms remain uncertain. Please stay alert and be prepared to take shelter if conditions worsen.
