Reminder will be doing the Canine Good Citizen Test Saturday, May 8, at 3:00pm.

We are offering the Canine Good Citizen test here at Bethel Kennels on Saturday, May 9 at 3:00 pm. The test is to ensure that your canine partner can be a respected member of the community because it has been trained to be well behaved, at home, in public places and in the presence of other dogs. If you have taken our group class you are eligible to take the class. If not, you may come for an evaluation to see if your dog is ready to test. There are 10 test items to be passed. Upon passing the test, your dog will receive the Canine Good Citizen Title and Certificate and a ribbon. please contact us to pre-register. We are offering Obedience Classes. The class is a 6 week course, 1 hour per week, one on one with the trainer. These classes will help you learn to be the leader in your family "pack" and the dog will learn his place in that pack. We will help you teach your dog to have the skills to be under control on leash, at home and in public.
Call us today to schedule an evaluation. At that time we can discuss how our classes work and talk about your goals and concerns and how we can help. The evaluation fee is $25. If you choose to take classes we will waive the fee. The 6 week classes are $350. Call us at 256-492-5176.

Happy New Year from Bethel Kennels! We are planning to begin the AKC Canine Good Citizen Testing this Spring. What is a Canine Good Citizen? It is a test that your shows your dog can be a respected member of the community because it has been trained to be well behaved in the home, public places and around other dogs. The test consists of 10 items that the dog must pass. If you have been through our classes you may be interested in this.. The test is open to all dogs. Time and date to be announced. Are you and your dog to working together as a team? Does your dog see you as the alpha leader in the family pack? If not, we can help. We offer a 6 week obedience class, 1 hour per week. The cost is $350 for the 6 week course. Call us to set up an evaluation. At that time we will see how you and your dog are working together and you can tell us your goals or concerns. The evaluation fee is $25, if you choose to set up classes we will waive the evaluation fee.

Our Tail Waggin' Tail Gate is this Saturday, October 11 from 11-2. It will be here at Bethel Kennels 1803 Hwy 431 in Glencoe. Come out and join us, all are welcome. Enjoy a time of fellowship, food, and fun with our canine companions. The weather will be perfect. Bring a covered dish and a chair. We hope to see you this weekend.

Bethel Kennels will be hosting our annual Tail Waggin' Tailgate soon! Make plans to attend! The date will be Saturday, October 11 from 11-2. The event will be here at the kennel 1803 Hwy. 431 Glencoe. Food, fun and fellowship with your canine companion. More details to follow.
