Did you know...

…that a dog's nose is a masterpiece?

🐶When breathing, air is drawn into the nose, with most of it going to the lungs for the necessary oxygen.
🐶The dog exhales air from the sides of its nostrils. This creates a constant flow of fresh air that brings odors into the nose and efficiently transports odor molecules to the olfactory epithelium.
🐶The nose has a partition that creates two separate nasal cavities, allowing the dog to smell in stereo and determine the direction of a scent.
🐶A wet nose helps absorb scent molecules. The mucous membrane in the nose is moist and cold, which cleans, moistens, and warms the air.
🐶The structure of the nasal surface is unique, just like our fingerprints.
