Vision Statement:

“We are a non-denominational Sanctuary, a sacellum of Nature. We provide a blessed and sacred space for connecting, honoring, educating, nature worshiping, conserving, fulfilling, and understanding. We connect to those of like mind and endeavor to keep an open mind for others. We honor the Old Ways, each sacred turn of the year, and rite

s of passage in our lives. We offer education on many levels and subjects all to grow and help the earth and each other. We minister a safe place to worship the All-Mother Earth/Nature and give back to her. We facilitate as conservatoires of both tradition and nature. We help each other fulfill our sacred duty as stewards of the earth so that we may hand down something better to our children. We offer understanding to all.”


In general…

A safe and blessed sanctuary where we can worship and connect to Nature freely and safely. Although predominantly pagan and wiccan in approach, all nature-loving souls are welcome. A sanctuary to connect and give back to nature where we understand we are a part of Her. Activities to re-forest, grow gardens, conserve natural resources, recycle, and live with a light-step upon the earth will be incorporated. We believe that “all acts of love and laughter” are worship in addition to acts of kindness and words of truth. Our worship follows the Wheel of the Year: Eight Solar Holidays and The Monthly Cycle of the Moon. The sanctuary follows the Olde Ways: humankind’s connection to the Divine through the natural world since the beginning of time. We embrace returning to this original form of worship as we enter the New Age of Aquarius bridging a connection between the Divine, nature, and humanity. We celebrate and honor all the phases and transitions in this lifetime and will offer rituals by our clergy to acknowledge them: Baby Blessings, Coming of Age Ceremonies, Mother and Fatherhood blessings, Hand-Fastings, Crone/Sage Ceremonies, Death Rites (For animals/pets and Human)
In addition to solar holidays, the sanctuary could offer: healing circles, moon tents, fire circles, spirit quests, ancestral honoring, house/land blessings. We understand the elements of air, fire, water, and earth to not only be the building blocks of Nature but also our spiritual siblings as are the animal kingdoms. We strive to treat them all with respect and care. We worship the “Divine”/Goddess & God/All-That-Is/Universal Consciousness in a variety of forms. We believe that the Divine speaks a different love language to each soul, and we are not to dictate how Spirit must manifest and interact. We recognize the Divine as female/male/other. Teaching the next generation to live in balance with nature, the world and each other is essential. Providing a safe environment and treating everyone with respect despite age, sexual orientation, and race is mandatory as we are all sparks of divinity. All members must contribute an exchange of energy to this spiritual community by the means they are able: monetary or labor. This enables the sanctuary to survive and serve.

Friend, Enemy or Sister?

When I first started serving in the witch community in York, PA, I was bright eyed with optimism. I had no idea of the history and hereditary curse that lay upon my new homeland regarding magick and witchcraft.

What is the root of the curse of jealousy, pride, and distrust in York County and nearby regions of PA? Was it the war between Rehmeyer and his enemies? 103 years ago, Nelson Rehmeyer, an energetic healer and practitioner of pow wow, was falsely accused and killed due to jealousy and fear. No, although Rehmeyer’s suffering grew from the same root. Could it be the fall out of Christianity making this area a Native American burial ground where the original tribes and gods of this land are no longer revered and were slaughtered? Now we are getting warmer.

I grew up in Baltimore, and as I look at a map of where I have lived throughout my life, I have always been connected to the Susquehanna River. I visited Herring Run Park daily, right down the street from my house, as a child. We often visited areas around the bay and inner harbor. Seafood and crabs were part of our culture. I interacted and grew up near the cauldron of the Goddess Susquehanna-the Chesapeake Bay.

I believe the problem with York County and nearby surrounding areas in PA is our disconnect from our mother. This land is powerful due to it surrounding one of the original gods of this planet…the Goddess Susquehanna.

The Susquehanna is THE oldest major river system in the world! It is dated to be 320-340 million years old. She is so old, the mountains and valleys formed around HER not the other way around as is common. She is primordial and ancient.

This area is connected to Her…the Ancient Serpentine Mother, this life-giving Dragon who has existed before mountains and men. I believe there are those who know this truth and some who wish us to remain ignorant.

The current state of our nation and of the world is the result of disconnect from the Divine Feminine…the unbalance it brings. But the truth is we are all relatives on this planet regardless of skin color, dogma, sexual orientation or culture…we are siblings born of the Great Mother Earth.

Years ago, I was shocked and hurt when I learned the rumors about me from other practitioners in the area. All I wanted to do was teach and help but the response was: “Don’t trust her…keep your eye on her…keep me informed about HER!” But now, as I’ve reached my crone years, I realize the shadow that birthed these fears. It was never about me…the distrust, competition and fear were hereditary scars of patriarchy stealing us away from our mother. We are conditioned to fear each other. Distrust each other and compete…it keeps us divided and powerless to create real change.

For over a year, I've contemplated kicking my ego in the ass by hosting a “Frenemy Tea” and inviting those who have issues with each other (and me) in the pagan community to share some tea and healing. Because the truth is, we no longer have time to be fearful and petty…the time for burning witches has returned. But I don’t like the word “frenemy” either because it perpetuates the past pattern and that is exactly what we don’t want. Am I simply a crazy, old Aquarius or does anyone else see this?

How about SISTERS OF THE SUSQUEHANNA? Let’s not use friends and enemies…but sisters. Siblings may not always agree or even like each other, but they love and care for each other and share the same mother…. Mother Susquehanna.

Regardless of age, color, tradition, culture…daughters of the Susquehanna coming together to heal ourselves first then the Planet.

(The photo was taken at a women's retreat during which we took a small boat out and were able to see and touch ancient petraglyphs on stones in the middle of the Susquehanna River. It was magical and humbling because compared to her those ancient petroglyphs are young.)

Calling all those leading pagan/magickal/earth spirituality groups, circles, sanctuaries, groves and covens near PA.

The time for jealousy and witch war bu****it is over. It is time to network for the sake of our people (human, beast and plant.)
It is not time to hide in a corner or give into despair...it is time to walk into the Age of Aquarius manifesting the highest good. Part of that highest good is leaders letting go of our own egos and fears.

PA is cursed with a "witch war" vibe that I had never experienced before moving here. This same energy of fear and division that is ripping apart the USA. This needs to be put to rest. Division and fear are the enemy and stop humanity from evolving. And this begins locally...with us.

You don't need to "like" me...we don't need to like each other...but we DO need to acknowledge we are all children of the Divine and it is time to straighten our crowns and push forward. It is time to feed love, not hate..."like" belongs to the ego.

Although I am sad that ten (and counting) humans have perished in the fires, this cartoon was actually my first response. The sorrow for the hundreds of creatures who will perish and be maimed because humans cannot resist living in areas where they simply shouldn't is overwhelming. Small fires in California were a normal part of the cycle but the ways in which humans have inhibited and inhabited nature causes problems. The ecosystems such as salamanders, snails and moss annihilated are utterly destroyed in these unnatural fires. When will humanity wake up and see what we are doing to our sisters and brothers on this planet? Human greed effects all inhabitants of this planet.
