It’s that time of year again. You can never check your pets enough!

Lyme disease in dogs is a bacterial infection transmitted by tick bites, primarily from the black-legged tick or deer tick. Common signs include lameness (which can shift from leg to leg), fever, lethargy, swollen lymph nodes, and joint pain or swelling. If left untreated, Lyme disease can lead to serious complications like kidney disease, heart problems, and neurological issues.
