Roselle, the courageous 9/11 guide dog, is our heroine of the day. On the morning of the 2001 attacks, Roselle skillfully guided her blind owner down 78 flights of stairs to safety. With animals’ innate ability to detect danger, Roselle played a crucial role in ensuring her human’s safety, who was one of the fortunate ones to survive that awful day that we will never forget. Thank you Roselle for your service, fearlessness, brilliance and fortitude. You were a true warrior! 🙏🐕❤️

Stop by to see us at The Black Dog on Main Street in Annapolis on Saturday, May 24th, between 12 pm and 3 pm. We’ll be there with one of our gorgeous adoptable dogs to explain more about our sanctuary and mission to save senior dogs. Let’s get the SDS pups adopted!
