"The Mischief Queen"

The grass was wet, the air was cool, and the kingdom was hers. Luna lay low, front paws spread wide, like a lioness over a fresh kill. The prize wasn’t a gazelle or a crown — it was better. A bone. Stolen right out from under the noses of every imaginary rival who dared to cross her realm.

She gnawed with purpose, not delicately but with the confidence of a ruler who didn’t have to answer to anyone. Her eyes flicked up now and then, checking the perimeter — part of her hoping some fool would challenge her so she could show them what happened to pretenders.

The bone cracked again, a sharp warning to any who might be watching: Don’t even think about it. She chewed faster, daring the world to try and take it from her.

Luna wasn’t just a dog in the yard. She was the Mischief Queen — ruler of grass and plunder. And today, she had no intention of giving anything back.
