☀️🐾 Wagging Wednesday: Myth vs. Fact – Summer Edition! 🐾☀️

Summer is full of fun—but it’s also full of misconceptions about keeping our dogs safe.

Let’s bust a few common myths! 👇

❌ MYTH: “If I’m comfortable outside, my dog is too.”
✅ FACT: Dogs can overheat much faster than we do. They don’t sweat like humans, so even a warm day can become dangerous quickly.

❌ MYTH: “All dogs are natural swimmers.”
✅ FACT: While many dogs enjoy the water, not every dog is a confident swimmer. Always supervise water activities and consider a properly fitted life jacket for boating or deeper water.

❌ MYTH: “My dog will let me know when they’re too hot.”
✅ FACT: By the time many dogs show obvious signs of heat stress, they may already be in trouble. Providing fresh water, shade, and frequent cooling breaks is the safest approach.

A little knowledge can go a long way in keeping our four-legged family members healthy, happy, and safe all summer long. 💙

Everyone wish a very Happy Birthday to Josie! 🥳❤️

I’ve had the pleasure of having Josey as my fur friend since she was a tiny puppy. We enjoy our weekly drop in visits together.

She might not entirely understand why she’s wearing a sparkly hat, but she definitely knows that a paw-print cake means she is the absolute center of attention today. 🦴✨
