For all of our friends that we have and at Guardian Angels K9 Training. For those of you that didn’t know why we had to shutdown so quickly let me explain why.
Late 2021 Christina had contracted Covid and ended up spending eight weeks in the ICU with the hospital, calling us in twice to say goodbye to her. She did survive that ordeal, but it put her in a state that she was in a wheelchair with constant oxygen and a lot of medication. So for that reason, she could no longer continue training and I could not give enough time to train properly and take care of her.
She did get better and was able to walk again with assistance, but it took a lot of physical therapy and time. She was put on a double lung transplant last year due to all the scar tissue she had in her. To go over everything that’s happened over the last 3 1/2+ years would take a novel to explain thats why I wanted to give everybody an update and thank everyone for their prayers.
Let me tell you the prayers work and God is great.
We ran into a nurse that was telling us about an all natural herbal remedy that could help and we put her on it. With the mercy of God and a lot of prayers, she is now off the double lung transplant list. She’s actually able to walk quite a bit and is cut way down on all of her medication, including coming off of a lot of it.
We’ve talked about trying to open up K9 again and unsure if that is the best move at the moment because we want to be completely committed to it if we do. All of this has happened in the last 5 to 6 months of her getting better so at the moment, we are spending a lot of time enjoying life that we almost didn’t have together camping and enjoying the outdoors.
If you’re interested in following her status and what we’re doing, I left a link to our Facebook and Instagram and if you are curious what she got on, don’t hesitate to reach out and let her tell you about it .
Thank you for your time, prayers and love.
We never know when is our last moment with our loved ones so please cherish each other. This whole experience has been extremely humbling and has taught me the priority of life isn’t always what we think it is.
Love all of you
