On August 13, 2020, our families set out on a journey to provide the best local beef available. What started out as a small operation amongst friends and family, quickly turned into a website....and from there, the Steel Mill Farms Country Market in Gilmer. We were recently voted BEST IN EAST TEXAS and have served over 100,000 pounds of beef to our community!!!!
Since that time, we have been blessed to meet so many wonderful people. We had no idea that the store would impact us as much as it has. We have met people that we may have never met otherwise. We have met new Texans, old Texans, visitors from out of state, and visitors from out of the COUNTRY....we have prayed with families, we have laughed, cried, encouraged, or just listened.....and all through the platform of "food."
The aspect of COMMUNITY is what has filled our hearts. The knowledge that people from all over East Texas desire a closer relationship with their food and their food providers....that in a world of artificial everything people are seeking REAL relationships....REAL community....REAL FOOD! And that is what we have enjoyed so very much for the last 5 years.....and we pray that God will continue to bless us so that we can enjoy 5, 10, 50 more years of those relationships.
