We are so proud of this guy!!

Let’s all congratulate K-9 Havoc of the Oxford Police Department, Alabama on his first successful track.

K-9 Havoc was requested after patrol units got into a pursuit and the wanted felon did a jump and run. K-9 Havoc went right to work, through thick woods and the handlers right of passage, thorn bushes.

The suspect was located doing his best to appear apart of nature, Justin Lawler was taken into custody. K-9 Havoc was feeling good with his success and went off to do an article search 🔦 👀 locating the suspects m**h pipe.

The post that will get the fewest likes, but not everything is “happy”.

Leadership before love.

We are seeing more and more “aggressive” dogs. Actually probably over 50% of people reaching out are seeing behavioral issues. Some don’t even see it till it’s pointed out. The aggression is communication that there is a void and you need to understand it started a long time ago with small cues that were validated and that’s how they have learned to be successful. Most of these dogs can’t handle stress and become reactive to the smallest amounts. Most of these dogs are insecure and don’t want to be aggressive.

The way these dogs are being raised combined with their genetics is a huge problem. Yes some dogs have mental stability issues and are not wired correctly but the majority are asking the owners to fill the void of leadership. The owners are placing a huge false sense of responsibility on their dogs. Humanizing the dog keeps making it worse.

Dogs communicate through body language and physical contact. They will always fight, bite, growl and use space to establish pecking order. They are primal and it will never be bred out of them.

The real fix to aggression is leadership, boundaries, structure, mental and physical stimulation. Expose them and lead them through stressful situations and they will learn to overcome and gain confidence through accomplishment. When the mind is satisfied the aggression goes away and you have a social animal.
