Sophie, beloved companion of Lori and Norm Tillman, passed away in the comfort of her own home April 15, 2026.

Sophie was born on a ranch August 8, 2015. Once old enough, she was taken to a pet store to find a family. She was fortunate that the Tillman family happened by the pet store and found her. Her beautiful, fluffy, blue merle coat with copper and white highlights and her darling little nubby tail endeared her to them right away. They took her home to be a friend to the family’s current dog, Scooter, and she quickly became part the family.

Sophie had a wonderful life with her family. She loved her cat siblings Maggie and Patches, as well as her dog brother, Scooter. She especially enjoyed laying in the grass under her favorite willow tree, playing fetch with her squeaky toy, and cuddling with her family.

Her family will always fondly remember Sophie for her very sweet and loving personality. She was a very good girl, who would offer comfort to Lori when she was down or sick. Sophie would stay by her side and even bring her ‘gifts’ of her toys to try to cheer her up. Lori and Norm are grateful for the almost eleven years they had with Sophie and hope to be reunited with her in the after-life someday. Rest in peace, Sophie.

Laddie Rose, born February 4, 2010, passed away in the comfort of his own home and in the arms of those who loved him most on April 11, 2026. He had a very full 16 years+ of life.

His human family, Marsha and Richard, brought Laddie into their home when he was a small puppy. Laddie was the runt of a litter of Pomeranians being sold at a local pet store when Marsha fell in love with him. It took a while (3 months) for Marsha to convince Richard to bring Laddie home but as soon as Laddie moved in, and in spite of his small size he was a huge part of the family. In typical dog fashion, Laddie ignored Richard’s reticence and decided that Richard was in fact, his favorite human.

Laddie’s home was filled with love. Before Richard and Marsha took him home, he had never felt grass below his feet or drank water from a bowl. But after he came into their home, he was taking walks, going to Home Depot, having dinner with his Mom (Marsha) and his Dad (Richard), celebrating Christmas by driving through the Festival of Lights and best of all being part of - and in charge of - his wonderful family of humans and dogs.

Laddie was small but fierce. He was definitely a warrior, facing many health challenges in his life. He either beat or lived bravely with those issues, including alopecia which he struggled with for the last 4 years of his life. Regardless of his struggles, Laddie always had the best smile.

Those who were honored to be part of Laddie’s life will always hold a place in their hearts for him. Laddie was very selective when it came to his interpersonal relationships and the following folks were lucky enough to be loved by him: his brothers Bodee and Tay; his sisters Kali and Cady; his Grandma Linda; and of course, his Mom and Dad, Marsha and Richard. Preceding him in death were his brothers Cody and Hunter; his sister Grace; and his Grandpa Skip.

Marsha and Richard are grateful for the time they got with Laddie. They are also grateful to be with him at the end when he earned his wings. They hope to be reunited with him one day in the afterlife. Rest in peace Laddie.

Deja, adored companion of the Mundschenk Family, passed out of this earthly realm January 7, 2026. She leaves behind Chopper, Abby, Twila, William, Charessa, Maryah, and many grandchildren who will miss her deeply.

Deja was an intuitive and loving being. She was always calm, cool, and collected and was able to influence those around her, human and canine, to feel the same, even in exciting and stressful situations. She also always knew when someone needed to be comforted and had excellent comforting skills.

Just because she was calm didn’t mean Deja wasn’t fun though. She enjoyed hiking with Twila on rock-hunting trips, eating, and lounging on the couch. She was also a bit of a trickster – one of her favorite activities was hiding all the Kong toys from her canine siblings.

Deja is joining Raider, Zaphire, and Xavier across the rainbow bridge. All of her family, human and canine, hope to be reunited with her sweet, gentle soul someday. Rest in peace Deja.

Princess Mia, beloved friend and companion of the Kaufman family, passed away peacefully December 9, 2025. Princess Mia was a fan of walks; playing with her best (canine) friend, Louis Vuitton; running laps around the kitchen; and her signature quality- being feisty.

The Kaufman’s were fortunate to have 17 full years with Princess Mia. They bought her from a breeder in Spearfish, South Dakota as a small puppy and, of course, as soon as she was home, she became family. They were with her all the way to the end of her time here on earth.

Princess was incredibly sweet and loved everyone she met. Because of this she stole many hearts and made many friends during her life. The following beings were especially close to Princess: her ‘siblings’ Louis Vuitton, a 12-year-old Pomeranian; Sandy, a 14-year-old Yellow Labrador; and Simba, a 21-year-old black Tabby. And her humans – Jeff and Sherrie, who were her Mom and Dad; her sisters, Samantha (Daniel) and Lacey; her brother, Josh (Lee); and her cousins, Brooklyn, Natasha, Noah, Gracin, and Averie. The doctors and staff at Animal Medical Center also played a role in Princess Mia’s life and her family is very grateful for the care she received from them throughout her life.

Princess Mia’s feistiness, her ability to smell fast food the moment it was brought into the house, and her love of cuddling in bed, are some of the memories that will always make her loved one’s smile as they think of her. They miss her very much but will always be grateful for the time they had with their Princess Mia. Rest in peace Princess Mia.

KC (Cassandra) Roberts, beloved companion, passed away December 13, 2025. KC was a beautiful calico Abyssinian Guinea Pig who was adored by her family and will always be remembered fondly.

KC was a birthday gift to her soon-to-be human sister, Amellia. At that time KC was a baby who could fit into the palm of Amellia’s hand, and she was very scared. Amellia and her family diligently worked with KC and within a month KC started to bond with them, especially Amellia’s mom, Amanda.

KC was a sassy girl, and she enjoyed many activities such as chasing her sister, cleaning her house after the humans had ‘cleaned’ it, and playing with cardboard. She kept careful track of her food, calling out with her ‘wheeks’ to alert her family if she heard the fridge or any other food related noises. She also loved being cuddled and kissed.

KC will be missed by many including Rayna, her sister guinea pig, and her human family: Berlynn, Amellia, Mom, and Dad. There are many things they will miss about KC including her sassiness, her happiness, and her darling cowlicks. They will always have fond memories of cuddling with KC while watching movies.

Amanda would like to say to KC, “You were little to everyone but yourself. Your sass and spunkiness was that of a much larger being. You are perfect. We love you and will never stop missing you. ‘Til we meet again.” Rest in peace KC.

Sheldon Exe passed away peacefully November 18, 2025, in the company of his most beloved human, Sandra.

Sheldon was born May 21, 2015, and lived with his first family until 2020. When that family was no longer able to keep him, Sheldon and his friend Max came to live with Sandra. They immediately bonded and have loved each other deeply over the past 5 years.

Sheldon was a darling black and white Chihuahua who enjoyed walks in the park and rides in the car. Sheldon’s purpose in life was to be a great comfort to Sandra and her family. Sandra’s son Paul lived with her and Sheldon for about a year after returning from Afghanistan and Sheldon was a great comfort to him during this time. Sheldon was also very protective of and comforting to Sandra. If she sneezed or coughed, he was there to check on her.

Sheldon will be missed by his human friends Paul, who he was always excited to see even up to the very end, and Kyler, and especially by his beloved Sandra. She will always fondly remember her little soldier Sheldon by her side protecting her. Rest in peace Sheldon.

After a long struggle with severe hip dysplasia, Bailey Erickson passed away peacefully in the presence of her most beloved human, Leann, on September 29, 2025.

Born March 10, 2019, Tripp Sessions-Shadrick passed away after a sudden illness on September 1, 2025. Even though his time with his family was short, it was happy and fulfilling.

Tripp came to his forever family, Brittany and Dustin, as small puppy. They traveled to Denver to get him since they were specifically looking for a Pomeranian to complete their family. Tripp was a perfect fit!

Tripp’s quirkiness was adored by his family; his happy, lazy attitude and his ability to match pitch when howling with his mom were some of his best features. Tripp enjoyed life and like dogs do, shared his enthusiasm with everyone he could. Car rides, going for walks, and camping were high on his list of favorite activities. And he especially loved howling with his mom – they made great music together.

Tripp, also fondly known as ‘Tripp-a roo-mac-a-roo macaroni & cheese’ will be greatly missed by his loved ones: Brittany & Dustin; Nevaeh, Skylar, & Ashton; and Roxie & Dixie. Tripp always greeted his family with his handsome smiles. The memory of those smiles will forever be in their hearts.

Tripp’s family is finding peace in knowing that he has been reunited with his girl, Meadow, as well as the knowledge that they too will reunite with him in the afterlife. Rest in peace Tripp.

Luca. His full registered name was Royal Luca James Sullivan. Yes, there's a story behind that moniker! But he was called Luca.
He was born on May 11, 2022 Deceased on May 15, 2025
Pomeranian, chocolate sable in color.

My sister's friend occasionally bred Pom puppies. Luca was one of her litters, the sole survivor of the 2 born. I was trying to convince myself I did not need another puppy; she was determined I was going to have him, or so my sister tells me. I finally decided to check on him, and of course once you meet, it's all over. And I suddenly realized how much I really wanted a puppy. He was our 6th Pomeranian and joined Rainier at home.

Luca was the easiest puppy ever. I would actually see him sleep. Rainier is the opposite, I never see him sleep, he's way too aware of everything all the time. If I wanted to play, yes Ma'am, Luca is on it. If you wanted a break, great, he would lay and play peacefully by himself, like a little otter. Everything he did made us laugh. He was smart and easy to train. He went to bed the first night, slept all night, and that was that. Every night. (Rainier was still getting us up in the middle of the night like a newborn child. He only gave that up a year ago, and he's just turning 8!) He did like to put EVERYTHING in his mouth, especially as a puppy. In the end, that was his demise.

Luca loved squeaker toys more than anything, except maybe food. He always had something in his mouth and would carry toys around. My house looked like a toddler human lived here with all the toys scattered about. We called him the Ninja, he could just disappear and reappear, and you never knew where he went, or where he came from. Of all my dogs, he is the one that made me create a totally fenced dog yard. He was my cuddliest Pom and loved to lay on top of Wade in the recliner.

Luca did have champion blood lines. Not that I cared, but it did mean he had the fullest, most beautiful coat. He was a chocolate sable, and there was a LOT of hair in that coat. I don't know that his groomers always appreciated it.

Luca was my soul dog. I miss him staring at me with those soulful eyes, hanging out with me, and just being an awesome companion. I miss the toys around the house, and I miss his silly, happy, chill personality. His Pomeranian happy face was epic. We miss him terribly, and the world is still spinning a little off kilter without him here. Thank you for helping us say goodbye.
