After a long life filled with love, Minnie Girl Beach passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family on October 7, 2026.

Minnie- also known to her family as Tiny- lived her entire life with Marisssa (Mom) and Trevor (Dad) Beach. She was born July 22, 2014 to Marissa's first dog, Mattye. Minnie was the runt of the litter and because of her small size she slept away from her litter mates, in Marissa's bed, snuggled up in an ankle sock to make sure she didn't get smooshed. Of course, they bonded and it was easy to keep Minnie with the family.

Minnie lived up to her breed, chihuahua, by having a huge heart. Whether she was being a loyal, loving companion or attacking your feet because they touched her in the bed, she did it with the heart of a lion.

Minnie will be mourned by many. The memory of Minnie's love of baths with Mom, but her dislike of swimming in the pool with Dad in her final summer will always bring a smile to Marissa and Trevor's faces. She will also be missed by her big best friend, Moose as well as the many folks she ended up not attacking, but instead touching their hearts by singing them a song. Rest in peace, Minnie Girl.

Calla Lilly "Callie" Rankin
March 31, 2014 - September 16, 2026

Our hearts are broken all over again.

Just two weeks ago, we said goodbye to our sweet Shasta, and now we are having to say goodbye to our Callie Bug. It doesn't seem fair, and it doesn't seem possible that we have had to lose two such important members of our family in such a short time.

Calla Lilly, Callie, or Callie Bug, came into our family as a puppy and spent the next 12 years being a part of our lives. She was our sweet Maltese-Shih Tzu mix, but she was so much more than that. She was family.

Callie had a special bond with Shasta. She was always Shasta's protector, especially when Nola would get a little spicy. Callie was right there to keep an eye on her and make sure her sister was okay. Now, I can't help but picture Shasta waiting for Callie on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. After all, they spent so many years together. I hope they find each other again.

Callie was loved with all of our hearts, just like Shasta was. She was there through the ordinary days and the important ones, through changes, celebrations, hard times, and all the little moments that make up a life. After 12 years, you don't just lose a dog. You lose a piece of your family and a piece of your everyday life.

Our home will feel different without her. There will be one less little face, one less set of paws, and one less personality filling our days. And Nola has lost her sister, too.

Callie will be deeply missed by her family, Scott and Julie Rankin, her human siblings Alisa, Chloe, Rylie, Russel, and Lacie, and her dog sister Nola.

Callie Bug, thank you for 12 years of love, companionship, protection, and being such an important part of our family. We were so lucky to have you, and we will never stop loving you.

Go find Shasta, sweet girl. She needs her protector again.

Spice Updike, beloved companion of Cynthia Updike, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2026.

Spice was a kitten of one of the Updike family's cats so she lived her entire life with them. She was a very loving cat who enjoyed the simple things in life such as scratching her post, purring, and headbutts. Spice will be very missed by her family. Rest in peace, Spice.

In Loving Memory of Shasta Daisy Rankin
April 11, 2012 - September 2, 2026
Shasta Daisy Rankin, also known as Shasta Looney and, of course, Mom's Favorite Child, was born on April 11, 2012. She joined our family on June 3, 2012, and remained by our side until the very end on September 2, 2026.
Shasta was simply a good dog. She loved absolutely everyone, and everyone who knew her loved her right back. There was nothing she loved more than cuddling with her people except maybe sneaking out the front door and running like crazy until she found the first stranger she could. Once she found them, she would run straight to them, ready to be picked up and loved on. One of those adventures even landed her in doggy jail for a night, a story our family will never forget.
No matter what Shasta was doing or what trouble she might have found herself in, she was always deeply loved by her human family and her doggy family.
When Shasta first came into our family, she was welcomed by her doggy sister, Roxie, and her doggy brother, Bo. Over the years, her doggy family grew to include her sisters, Callie and Nola, who are going to miss her too.
Shasta became so much more than a pet. She was family. She was a companion, a cuddler, an escape artist, a little bit of a looney, and a source of love and laughter for all of us.
Shasta will be deeply missed by her family, Scott and Julie Rankin, and her human siblings, Alisa, Chloe, Rylie, Russel, and Lacie, along with her doggy sisters, Callie and Nola, and all those who loved her throughout her life.
Shasta may have been Mom's favorite child, but she had a special place in every heart she touched. Run free, sweet girl. Cuddle all the people, chase all the adventures, and never forget how very, very loved you were. Until we meet again.

Beloved family member, Fiona Holcomb, passed away unexpectedly July 26, 2026. The Holcomb family is mourning her loss and will always miss her presence in their lives.

Fiona came to the United States as a puppy all the way from Venezuela. She was a gift for her first family who loved her enough to rehome her with Angela Holcomb when they could no longer keep her. Fiona was 2 years old at that time and immediately became part of the Holcomb family. Fiona went with them wherever they went, including accompanying the family to a post in Germany from 2021- 2025.

Fiona was a very fun-loving little being with a ton of energy who lived life to the fullest. Her favorite activities included rough housing, chasing people's feet, and running crazy through the house. She also had a toy 'owl baby' that she especially adored when she was younger. Fiona had a great fondness for interacting with people, wanting to meet and greet everyone she came across. And of course, she adored her people. She had such a tight bond with Angela's daughter, Amaryllis, that Fiona taught her to crawl and all of Amaryllis's baby and toddler photos include Fiona because she always stayed close by.

Her family will always fondly remember Fiona's little tongue that didn't fit into her mouth and her snaggletooth. Her tongue was always hanging out to the left and she had one tooth sticking up from her lower left jaw, which gave her a very unique and endearing appearance.

Anywhere she could go, her family would take her and in fact, they were on a camping trip with her when she passed away. They will miss her as any family member is missed when suddenly lost. They will remember her often and fondly hoping they will have the chance to meet again someday. Rest in peace Fiona.

After a valiant struggle against cancer, Applejax Bingham passed away peacefully in the presence of her most beloved human, Chris, on November 11, 2025.

Applejax came to Chris and her family as a kitten. She and her brothers were abandoned on a ranch in the middle of winter. Applejax rescued herself and her brothers from freezing to death by yowling until the rancher heard them and found them. He ended up giving the three of them to his sister who ran a kennel. The mother of the rancher and his sister was a friend of Chris's and she talked Chris into taking a kitten. Chris chose the female, who was a gorgeous black and white shorthair. Chris named her Applejax.

Applejax fit into the family right away and in fact, became the leader, kindly ruling over all the creatures in the family. She enjoyed playing with all of the other kitties in the family and also made frequent (but unsuccessful) efforts to pet the deer who came around the house.

The characteristic that Applejax will most be remembered for was her caretaking attitude towards her fellow beings. She seemed to know what those around her needed and she tried to give it to them. Chris described her as the "kindest, gentlest bully". Chris tells a story about a time when a visiting dog was crying and Applejax crawled over to this dog to then place her paw on his paw to comfort him. She would also put her paw on her siblings' heads to move them away from the food bowls when she thought they'd had enough. Applejax was so loving and caring that even as she was dying from cancer, she was comforting Chris through her tears- by placing her paw on Chris's hand.

Applejax will be missed by many including her mom, as well as her feline siblings Clarence, Annie, and Silly Putty. And, of course, she will forever be remembered and missed by Chris. Chris has been lucky enough to have relationships with many cats throughout her lifetime, but Applejax was special - she was Chris' once in a lifetime cat. Applejax was preceded in death by her feline siblings Lucky, Lucy, AP, and Sammy; her family hopes she is reunited with them in the afterlife. Rest in peace Applejax.

Jupiter Kunkel, loving companion of the Kunkel family, passed over the rainbow bridge June 5, 2026.

In the summer of 2021, the Kunkel family visited a little farm to see the animals. There they came across a litter of Australian Shepard puppies and fell in love with the runt. Once the family got home, they decided to adopt him. When they brought him home, they named him Jupiter.

Jupiter was crazy about playing ball and he was pretty talented. He could fetch anything that could fly, shoot, or be thrown. He had a special way of getting his ball to the ‘thrower’ by booping it with his nose. His human siblings loved playing ball with him, and they especially loved his unique way of giving them the ball.

He was excited to go anywhere with his family, and they loved taking him along- he made every excursion more fun. And he was so loving – if anyone ever got down on the floor he was right there to get and give loves.

Jupiter had a special relationship with Cortney, his human mom. He was her little shadow following her everywhere. She will miss her little ‘outside buddy’ walking with her to close up the chickens in the evenings.

Jupiter will also be missed by his dad Trey; his human siblings, Kasen, Holden, Wrenley, and Josie; as well as his canine brother Zues. His family will remember Jupiter as a very fun and loving family member and they will forever miss him!! Rest in peace Jupiter.

Achilles Ibarra died May 4, 2026, in the comfort of his loving home. Achilles came to the Ibarra family as a puppy. They found him through a post on facebook and fell in love with him just from his picture. When he was eight weeks old, they drove down to Laramie and picked him up. Achilles became part of the family right away and he grew into a beautiful white and black boxer. He liked chewing on bones, playing with his pig toy, sleeping on the couch, cuddling and most of all having his butt scratched. Achilles was a very expressive dog who loved attention and being with people. In fact, he hated being put outside away from everyone. He would pout when he didn’t get his way and shake dramatically when he was trying to get someone’s attention. He would bring toys to people to encourage them to play with him. And he would wait for his dad, Erick, to leave in the mornings and then he would ‘sneak’ into the bed with his mom, Beatriz. Achilles will be missed by many including Erick, Angelinn, Aileen, Arianna, and Ezekiel. Camila will always love him as will Beatriz. His loved ones had almost ten wonderful years with him and hope to be reunited with him again one day. Rest in peace, Achilles.

After ten wonderful years with his family, Atlas Beau Hockman passed away in the company of his most beloved human, Kim on June 19, 2026. Atlas was a beautiful German Shepard Dog whom Kim sought out and purchased as a small puppy. When Kim was choosing a puppy, Atlas took the decision out of her hands by crawling into her lap and choosing her!

As Atlas grew one of his ears was injured and it always stayed floppy. His family loved Atlas’ ears- they would turn them inside out and call him ‘Count Booflaf’ from Lemony Snicket. Things Atlas enjoyed in his life included playing fetch, going for walks, eating, and especially cuddling with Kim. He also enjoyed and was great at greeting people as they came in the door.

Kim was Atlas’ Mom – she raised him as a puppy and was with him in his last moments here on earth. He was very loyal to her. He was one of those wonderful dogs who could sense when someone was sad or down and he always knew when Kim needed him to be comforting. Kim will always miss his kind and perceptive personality.

Atlas Beau will also be missed by his Grandma; his girls, Molly & Novah; and many friends of Kim who knew Atlas over the years. He will always be remembered for his kind and gentle demeanor. Rest in Peace Atlas.
