Stephanie and Rachel from “Mickey and Stephanie’s Furhaven” are always fun to hung out with and we all have been around each other at trials. I really enjoy hanging out with trainers like them who are always seeking to gain more knowledge about training in general as I am doing the same. And no matter where we are hanging out we can never not talk about dogs😆

Felix did our puppy kindergarten with Rachel through the month of August. He learned some basic obedience and worked on his potty training skills. He was an A+ student! He and his family are all smiles! Here he is with his big sister who did kindergarten with us last year!
Our 3 board and train dogs dropped off this weekend!! They are all Teenagers and have been introduced. Looks like they are going to be fast friends. We have Ashton the 8 month old Bernese Mountain Dog, Newt the 6 month old rescue pup, and Ella the 10 month old boxer mix.
A very very special beagle turned 7 last week and his Momma wanted to have a party. Pretzel loves to play with Major and Hank who were invited. Thanks to Pupmuffins for making this amazing beagle dream cake!!

Coco was spayed yesterday and was a such a good girl at the vet!! She is looking for a loving family to call her own.

Our beginner group obedience class is starting up September 11th at 6pm. We have 4 spots available. This class is suited for dogs and puppies just starting their training journey.
This class covers basic obedience commands, manners, building engagement, and troubleshooting issues you may be having at home. This class will be held at Calvert City Old Park. If you would like to sign up please message.

We are so proud of Andrew and Jayden!! They have been taking agility classes down in Nashville. Jayden is a little Bernedoodle that did our board and train program last year and we are so happy they are continuing their education and finding fun things to do together!! Looks like we have some serious competition when they are ready to start trialing!! Shout out to the NDTC for having such a great dog sport program and teachers!!

Coco was a street dog for a very long time. Her inside manners are coming along great she is crate trained and doing well on potty training. She has started basic obedience training and does best with positive reinforcement. Coco is playful, but not hyper she would do well in pretty much any home setting. She is a little timid at first, but always friendly. She did very well at her vet appointment and likes car rides. Coco will need sometime and patience when adjusting to her new home. Coco would do best in a home with a fenced in yard due to her breed her sense of smell can get the best of her 😂. Her adoption fee is 150.00
She will come with 5 private lessons to continue her training.

Rainy day chew bones
Blaze is going home after a month of training today!! This week we added some impulse control challenges to his commands. We are going to miss this little guy. He definitely is a Blaze of fire 🤣🤣

It's National Walk your dog day!! If it is on leash, off leash, trails, the park, or around your neighborhood walking is one of the most beneficial things to do with your furry friend. Once our dogs are trained to walk nicely I let them enjoy more freedom and walking out in front of me. As long as they stop and wait when asked. Here I'm walking Winston 60lb lab, Cesar 85lb lab, and Hammi 10lb poodle in a new park in Knoxville TN.
What are we doing on this wash out of a day?? Teaching hindend awareness and touch placement. This builds a better heel position and is a great exercise to keep bored pups entertained when the weather isn't nice outside!! We love working with a Bluegrass Bernedoodles Inspire Puppy Tales pup they are always so eager to learn new things!! #wespeakdog #losetheleash #minibernedoodle
