These dogs are currently available for adoption or will be available very soon! Friends for Life is located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert, AZ. For dogs that are shown to be living at our adoption center, come on down and meet them during regular shelter hours. We OFTEN have dogs onsite that have not been photographed, so the best way to find a new forever friend is to come and see us!!! Click on the individual photos to read more about a dog!

You are welcome to submit an inquiry for more information about this dog, but please note that we strongly encourage potential adopters to come and see us in person and speak with an adoption counselor. We do our best to keep the bios updated online, but because each animal is different, things can change periodically. We do always require introductions with resident dogs, dogs that visit frequently, and all family members. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert. Hours: Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. You can also call during our open hours to inquire if an animal has been adopted yet (480-497-8296). Ok, we're going to tell you what we know about Sprout, and then you can cast your vote by commenting below....

Adorable Sprout is a 4 1/2 year old, 16 lb, bundle of adorable, who joined us after meeting our friends in Yuma. He's an energetic little guy who has good leash manners and enjoys his walks. So far, he hasn't shown much interest in playing with toys or balls, but once he gets to know you, he'll want to be sure you know all about belly rubs! He's enjoying being spoiled by one of our amazing foster homes, and will be at the adoption center, located at 952 W. Melody Ave in Gilbert, on Saturdays from 10am-4pm. You may also arrange for a weekday meeting by emailing [email protected]!

What time is it? Foster Friday time, of course!

Sweet little Pea is a 3 year old, 19 pound Chihuahua Beagle blend who joined us recently. She's a sweetheart who loves laps and seeks petting from her people. She has good manners on her leash, and riding in the car. She is house and dog door trained, and enjoys playing with dogs her size. She's a sweet, lovable girl, who is an all around awesome animal family member! Pea is in a foster home and will be at our adoption center on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm, until adopted!

Hey friends! Mango wanted us to remind you, he's still waiting to meet YOU!

Mango is a 6 year old, 22 pound mixed breed boy who came back to us recently, when there was a change in the household. He can be shy at first, around unfamiliar people, unless those people would be interested in greeting him with a treat! He's a very sweet, affectionate guy who sometimes mistakes himself for a lap dog. He is easy to handle, and has excellent leash manners. He knows basic commands, such as "sit," and enjoys being groomed/brushed. He likes toys, and will gladly entertain himself, if you're busy. His favorite activities include riding in the car, and playing with other dogs his size. This handsome guy is living at our adoption center and ready to meet you!

We're so glad we've had this time together, just have a laugh or sing a song. Seems we just get started and before you know it, comes the time we have to say so long to the summer Barking Bunco events....That's right! You DO NOT want to miss the Hawaiian themed final Barking Bunco event for the summer so we'll see you at the Adoption Center, located at 952 W. Melody Ave in Gilbert, Friday, August 15th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Grab your grass skirt and the coconuts because there will be a prize for best dressed to the theme! Hula through the door with a donation of cat litter or canned dog/cat food, and you'll earn yourself a complimentary raffle ticket for any of the bunco event raffle prizes. All experience levels are welcome, and those newer to the event can limbo in at 5:30 p.m. for a rules refresher. Pig roast crashers are welcome with a $30 donation, or if you'd rather not roll those dice, visit Bunco2025.eventbrite.com and confirm a single with a $25 donation, or a foursome with an $80 donation.

BUT WAIT, THAT'S NOT ALL!! We will also be raffling the final set of four baseline reserve seats for a Diamondbacks regular season home game, and the winner need not be present to win! The voucher for tickets can be redeemed through September 25, 2025 for the 2025 regular season. These are fantastic baseline seats near the Diamondbacks dugout! You can get 1 raffle ticket for a $10 donation, 3 raffle tickets for a $20 donation, and 10 raffle tickets for a $50 donation! Attending Bunco in person? You can get your raffle tickets at the event, for a $5 donation each!
