Master National finished on Sunday, November 9. Hopefully everyone made it home without a problem. Stellar is very proud of all our clients, win or loose, everyone did a great job. It was two weeks of being with friends and great dogs. Congratulations to all qualifiers. Stellar’s group had a good presence in flight C. Starting with Ranger, owned by Chris and Lacy Hughes, Jimmy, owned by Dough and Amber Bishop, Bruce, Jolene, and Jim owned by Mike and Janice Woodbury, Sunny owned by Dede and Wayne Paterson, and Tryst and Patience owned by Wayne and Dede Paterson. Stellar’ own dogs did well, Jack and Marta passed Glory, Tru, Cream, Prize and Shane. The plates are nice but the friendships we have made last longer and mean more than a plate on a shelf. Look forward to what 2026 has in store for Stellar and our clients. Hope everyone will enjoy their Holiday seasons and look forward to the new year.

Tess, your Rover Reporter, released from lock up and back at my post. Flight C finished the 6th series by mid day on Friday, a tight Pheasant series on Cour’s property. As with all MN, it’s not over til the last bird is picked up and the last blind has been run. Many a good handler/dog team has won or lost in that last round. Whatever the results, all competitors can be proud to have completed 6 very challenging series. There was a little bit of anxiety Friday night, hoping the phone would not ring. Saturday closing ceremonies were scheduled for 10 AM, 61 dogs out of 119 received the sought after Pewter Plate. Congratulations to all qualifiers. No MN is ever accomplished without the work of numerous volunteers and board members. Flight C is proud of our top notch team. Chairman, Mike Woodbury, Head Pro Justin Jackson, Equipment head Will Patterson, gun captain Wayne Paterson, Bird Steward Tyler Domeier, Marshal Co-chair Rachelle Anselmi, Hospitality Chair Kevin McGinnis, Safety Dede Paterson, Traffic Joe Rogers, and sound Jack Combs. A big GREAT JOB to those heads and the volunteers of each committee. Stellar wa so proud of their clients and Stellar dogs, passing 13 of the 23. Win or loose, all of our team are winners in our book! Now my dear friends, it is time to say be safe as you make your ways home and look forward the what 2026 may hold. Your Rover Reporter signing out for another year🐾🐾🐾❤️

Tess here your Rover Reporter, coming to you from Lock Up. I made a rather large error yesterday morning at the Stellar property. As I was on my morning stroll around my yard, I heard shots fired and of course, went to see what was happening. I saw a flying object and, being a terrier, went to investigate. ( being a reporter also) I jumped into the water to discover a duck! The next thing I know people are running and calling my name. Ms Melissa Shanks calls my name and I hopped onto a side by side. Next thing I know they are calling Marta. When she arrived she was VERY perturbed with me. Now I am making a formal apology to Flight D judges and the handler which my actions interferred. I found out later that that team was Jack Morris and Sugar! Woah is me! Jack Morris’s terrier interferred with Jack Morris’s dog!!! Please send me a doggy cake with a file in it and perhaps I can break free of this prison, a remorseful Tess, saying HELP🐾🐾🐾

Good morning all, Wednesday afternoon was busy, finishing up 4th series at the end of the day and determining where Flight C would run the 5th. Stellar still has several dogs playing but no one in our flight is resting with two more challenges ahead. Found out late in the evening Flight C would be moving to Cour’s water, so it was a very early wake up Thursday to get equipment set up and first dog to the line. Very challenging triple had at least 60% of the field using a handle. Callback came in late with more cuts. Stellar lost one young dog, but she can be proud she made it to the 5th. Sad story for Bruce Moore and his great girl Baily. A foot injury resulted in her being unable to compete. 😢 Baily was clean up to that point and headed for a plate. So sorry for that great team. On to the 6th and final round. We wish everyone good fortune today in their flights, stay sharp canine buddies! Tess out until tomorrow.🐾🐾🐾

Good morning from Flight C. At the end of Flight C 3rd series there were 17 less dogs on the board. It was a difficult series, probably the toughest we have had(which is not saying the other two were cake walks). The Workers Party was lots of fun, good food and time to visit with old friends. Some of my human companions won some great stuff I was told On to the 4th. Land/Water at Homestead back pond. Stellar is holding its own so far in the 4th, praying there will be better results at the end than the last series. Dogs are getting very loose. Come on canine buddies, hold it together! Tess out for now.🐾🐾🐾

Good morning from Flight C day two. This has certainly been a TEST for our four legged friends. The pheasants have not been cooperating with multiple “no birds” in every shift change. Our shooters are first class but pheasants are made of steel! At the end of this series there may be quite a change in the running order. I’m trying to make friends with the new addition to the Stellar kennel but so far he’s very quiet. Tess, your Rover Reporter out.

Good morning, hope everyone enjoyed the time change, although no one really got to sleep in if your part of the running order for MN. Yesterday Flight C completed the 1st series with threats of storms but no real down pours. The equipment crew picked up quickly and moved to the 2nd. It was a short trip around the corner of the tech pond. Rain, thunder and lightening threatened so the rest of set up had to wait until morning. Jack received a very special gift last night from his loyal and loving clients and Marta and Jack were given special reminders of MN 2025. Call backs came in and all but one of the Stellar group came back to the 2nd. Good luck to all flights and onward we go. Tess, your Rover Reporter signing out until tomorrow.

Tess here, good afternoon from Flight C, sorry for the two posts yesterday, thought one had not posted, and had the wrong number of dogs running. So today from Flight C, we are finishing up the first series. The flight is not leaving Stellar, moving to a water series. Stay tune for first series results. Tess out🐾🐾🐾

Good Friday morning, Tess your Rover Reporter, keeping you up to date. Flight C first series dawned crisp and bright with AM temps in the 40’s! My furry friends are frisky and ready roll. I personally like 80’s. We had a little bit of a late start, but once we got going things moved along well thanks to excellent help. The dogs seem to be managing the marks well, the blinds are a bit challenging. With several scratches and a couple of dogs moved to other flights we have 119 to run. Should finish early enough to get set up for series 2. Until tomorrow, Tess out🐾🐾🐾

Tess, your Rover Reporter bringing you early morning greetings from flight C first series. The morning is crisp and the dogs are feeling frisky, I personally like temps in the 80’s and 90’s. Flight C got a little bit of a late start but once we were rolling, all is moving well. Dogs on the whole are managing this series, although the blinds are quite challenging. With 122 dogs ( after scratches and moves to other flights) we will not finish until tomorrow. The weather seems to be in our favor. Good Luck to all flights. Tess out🐾🐾🐾

Well, Stellar training group completed the final day of pre-training with a fast pace breaking drill. Later in the morning the birds were really flying, pushed by a 20 MPH wind. Some handlers had to duck or be wacked by an incoming bird🦆. It put a ! in the word “Steady”. The weather change certainly came at the right time, handlers are also thankful the winds are supposed to subside before the “Dog to the Line” call Friday morning. We look forward to seeing good friends this evening at Opening Ceremonies. Let the Game begin! Tess out for now🐾🐾🐾

Good morning all, Tess, your ROVER Reporter up early with an update on training group Stellar’s day yesterday. It was a beautiful breezy day at Bryan Herzog’s amazing property. Thank you Bryan for allowing our group to train on such an awesome place! Although it was warm and humid, Jack Morris set up a breaking test for my four legged companions with a Pheasant flyer. Man, those birds go everywhere! Not only that, he tested their ability to take a line on a corner cutter of water. Some of my buddies did it right and some had to be corrected but all learned something. The wind shifted to the north around 3 PM, changing the test somewhat but it still challenged my buddies. Glad I’m a reporter and not a retriever. Until tomorrow, Tess signing out.🐾🐾🐾
