Join us in our exciting Service Dog Training program, where your furry companion will embark on an adventure of a lifetime! Imagine your dog confidently navigating through a bustling grocery store, mastering the art of heeling right beside a shopping cart. But that’s just the beginning! We'll take field trips to RDU airport, where your dog will experience the thrill of planes soaring through the sky, the spirited buzz of announcements, and the lively atmosphere of a crowded terminal. Get ready for an engaging journey that prepares your dog for the real world while building their confidence and skills!
Was permitted to share this precious moment between a father and her daughter. Astrid is a year-old Aussie Doodle in training to become a service dog, as you can see she knew exactly when she needed to use her DPT Skills. (Deep Pressure Therapy). This was such a sweet moment and I'm glad I was able to capture this for them!
Love getting updates from clients: Astrid left our program last Saturday with her owner. She still has a lot of work to do before she can become a service dog, but she is on the right track. It has been almost a week since she left our program, and I have already been able to see the confidence, progress, and team these two have created.
Our newest Board & Train member Astrid is learning some basic obedience to help pave their pathway to becoming a service dog.
Day 1: Introducing the “Look” command, “heel” walking on a loose leash, and “sitting” when stopping.
Working on long distance task work with my client. These two have come a long way!
Does your dog try to rush out the door? We are teaching Storm that she needs to sit and wait to be released before going in and out of doors.
Rocking the “heel”
Storm is learning “heel” and learning to sit when we make stops on walks.
It's important to know your dog's surroundings to ensure that your dog is safe. Teaching your dog to sit or lay down during stops ensures your dog is by your side and out of harm's way.
Storm learning “place”
Storm is staying with us for a board and train to learn some basic obedience.
Having trouble with basic leash manner? Reach out to us today, and we can help you transform your dogs' leash manner.
