Gettysburg Equestrian Historical Society The Gettysburg Equestrian Historical Society is a non-profit volunteer organization, formed solely to assist the NPS in preserving battlefield trails.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation all future fundraisers including the Judged Pleasure Ride scheduled for Saturday September 19th and the Fall Guided Ride scheduled for Saturday October 3 have been CANCELLED. Monies collected thus far will be returned.

Thank you everyone for graciously supporting our fundraisers in order to maintain the wonderful trails on the battlefield. We look forward to seeing you again in 2021!!

THERE IS STILL TIME TO SIGN UP FOR OUR FALL FUNDRAISER HISTORIC BATTLEFIELD RIDE!! Registration fee includes Licensed Guide and lunch. Event takes place Saturday, Sept. 8, beginning at 10:00 a.m. sharp! Ride with a Licensed Battlefield Guide through the Gettysburg battlefield! This year we will be having 2 of our Licensed Battlefield Guided Trail Rides, our very popular Judged Pleasure Ride, and coming back in 2017 we will be having a Fun Show! Also we will be putting on a Club Ride this year!

These beautiful battlefield trails are brought to you by supporters of our fund raising events and the wonderful Maintenance Division of Gettysburg National Military Park! The purpose of GEHS is to better the trails for the enjoyment and education of everyone. It looks like that objective was achieved! Thanks to all!

We had a great meeting and dinner at Hosses tonight! Thanks to all who came out and joined in the brain storming and fun. The club had a busy year of fundraising to improve and maintain the horse trails on the Gettysburg battlefield. We are grateful for the club's partnership with the Gettysburg National Military Park and all those who helped make the trails better for everyone! Come join the January 2017 meeting, last Thursday of the month, 6:00pm. at Hosses in Gettysburg. We will be planning many more events for the year to come!

Mark your calendars for our annual Judged Pleasure Ride! Saturday, October 1st, 2016. Begins at 9am. Enjoy negotiating FUN obstacles, while riding the scenic bridle trails of Gettysburg National Military Park! Staging area is Artillery Ridge Campground, 610 Taneytown Rd Gettysburg. Horse camping available! All proceeds benefit the restoration of the historic bridle trails at Gettysburg. Registration information will be posted here by August 15th! ALL ARE WELCOME!
