Our office will be closed on Friday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day, as we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy and honor those who have fought to protect them.

As you enjoy the holiday with family, friends, and fireworks, please remember to keep your pets safe and calm. The loud noises from fireworks can be extremely stressful for many animals. Now is a great time to prepare—create a quiet, secure space indoors, and consider calming aids or speak with your vet if your pet has a history of anxiety during fireworks.

If your pet experiences a medical emergency during our closure, please visit the footer of our website at www.gfah.net for information on 24-hour emergency veterinary care in the area.

Wishing you and your furry companions a safe and happy 4th of July!

🐾PAW PATROL 🐾

As our heat wave builds, please be cognizant of where you're walking with your furry friends. While air temperatures might only be in the 90s, both asphalt and concrete will be MUCH hotter, enough to burn your pups paws.

"One crucial question to ask is about your pet's specific breed-related health concerns. With over 350 dog breeds in the world, according to Reader's Digest, it's essential to know the unique needs and potential health risks of your pet's breed. Certain breeds are prone to specific health issues—like hip dysplasia in German Shepherds or respiratory problems in Bulldogs—so understanding these risks can help you better manage your pet's well-being."
