Germantown Charity Horse Show

What a night at the Grand Prix of Germantown! We were honored to have Mayor Mike Palazzolo with us to present the championship trophy, and thrilled to have Olympian Melanie Smith Taylor give the opening color commentary to set the stage for the competition. WarHorses for Heroes presented the American flag during the National Anthem, and Queen Alex Clark and our Germantown Charity princesses aided Mayor Palazzolo in presenting the awards. It was a magical night in the Sonny Foster Arena as 22 horses and 19 riders gave their all in a fantastic Grand Prix event that we will remember for a long time to come!

Congratulations to Ben Merritt and Centino Blue TW on their winning round in the Grand Prix of Germantown! Twenty-two entries thrilled the crowd with an exciting competition on our new footing in the Sonny Foster Arena. Natalee Haggan and Fair Play took the reserve, while Mr. Jackson B piloted by Chloe Desjarlais took third. We thank the City of Germantown for generously sponsoring this event, and we thank all the competitors for a fantastic Grand Prix competition!

PARKING UPDATES for today: parking will be closed at Germantown Presbyterian Church and replaced with parking at St George’s Episcopal Church at 2425 S. Germantown Road, directly across the street from the Presbyterian Church. Parking is open at Germantown High School and our two People Movers will be moving continuously to take people to and from the parking lots.

Parking is free and accessible parking is available in front of the Founders Pavilion, the first building on the right as you turn onto Melanie Smith Lane.

Congratulations to Adonis Z and Genevieve Gilmore on a fantastic win in the $5,000 Harold Walker, Jr. Gamblers Choice! We had 18 entries in this go-for-it-all competition where riders take on the Joker fence to add to their score! We also congratulate Happy Comly and IFrench CSH on their reserve, and Kiersten Sudlow and Sangris Boy for an exciting third place finish. Last night's Gamblers was a huge crowd pleaser, and we thank the family of Harold Walker, Jr. for their generous sponsorship in memory of our friend Harold.

Last night in the Carriage Gamblers Choice former Queen Kayla Benson and our 2026 Queen Alex Clark finished one-two in the ponies, while Tanner Ince and On the River took the blue in the horses. Who will take it home tonight in the Carriage Scurry Races and advance in the standings toward the Carriage Speed Championship? Find out tonight as the Breed Show gets underway with these two classes! We have a full slate of Gypsy Vanners, American Saddlebreds, Tennessee Walking Horses, Paso Finos, and Racking Horses on deck, so come on out and enjoy the show!

Congratulations to Gianna Aycock and Con Sorpresa H on their electrifying win as the last to go in Wednesday's $15,000 Welcome Stake! Against the backdrop of a gorgeous Germantown sky, 25 horses and 19 riders thrilled the crowd with their impressive performances and great sportsmanship. We also congratulate James Billington and Inajottie WB on their reserve win, and Kelsie Ray and Connie 11 coming in third!
