Great news

Thanks to incredible community support, American River Conservancy has officially acquired 30 acres in El Dorado County – the future site of the El Dorado Ranch Trailhead Facility! 🎉

This $150,000 purchase, made entirely through private donations, marks a major step toward opening public access to the future El Dorado Ranch State Wildlife Area. Located near the North Fork Cosumnes River off Highway 49, this new trailhead will connect people to breathtaking views of oak woodlands, river canyons, and wildlife habitat.

This is more than just a trailhead—it’s part of a bold conservation vision. So far, ARC has protected 4,128 acres of El Dorado Ranch, with more on the way. Once complete, these lands will be managed by the CA Department of Fish & Wildlife for generations to come. Thank you to everyone who helped make this local conservation success possible.

Cuyama day 2 - 50 miler

The boys enjoying the back pasture, cleaning out the stalls & paddocks. Ready for the next storm. Love my new tractor. 💕 husband did an amazing job rebuilding the barn.

8 years ago with Ramey (Magnetyk). Got soaked from the off and on rain for 50 miles. Lake was really low that year. What a contrast blazing 🔥
