There is a Rottweiler in Mt. Vernon, KY needing a new home. I have not met this dog but rumor has it that he’s a sweetie! He loses his foster home in a few days and needs a soft place to land!
I live in rockcastle Ky so the shelter doesn’t work with rescues.
I was asked to network a rottie,
We had a rescue but they pulled out last minute and were in a bind.
I am reaching out in hopes we can find him placement asap it is urgent.
Our county shelter is very rural does not work with rescues therefore that’s why I network straight from the home. He’s in a foster home but only has a day or two left there

He is a such sweet boy, has had k-9 obedience training
Loves to be around his people

is UTD on vaccines
Neutered
(Vet records available )
He is good with other dogs
Never been around cats
Good around older children (just because he jumps occasionally when excited but easily corrected)

Dunn in the Kitchen has been a blessing in our lives! Meal prep with a twist. Healthy, fast food is definitely not the norm but they do it right! I was just there and her cooler is stocked with individual meals, soup and salad! Needing a quick meal, stop by and grab one of the individual meals. Needing something quick in the next few days? Order family meals either online or stop by.

Just a reminder that K9 Mani/Pedi Saturday is tomorrow, 10/18, from 10a-noon! Cost is still $10 and we will only be accepting cash. We will be working from the porch. If you arrive and someone is already here, please wait until they have their dogs safely loaded before approaching the porch.

We want to keep all the dogs safe and as comfortable as possible in order to keep the stress level down while doing nails. You are more than welcome to walk your pups in the field beside the parking lot while you wait!

We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

The Jalapeño Popper Chicken Salad has become a fixture our fridge! Love it for lunch or as a snack on a cracker!

We had a new “kid” start daycare today and his family made him a First Day sign! It is the cutest!!! We love our clients and their humans!

I totally forgot to post the reminder for K9 Mani/Pedi Saturday tomorrow, 7/20! I will be on the porch from 10-noon. The cost is $10 per dog and we would prefer cash payment.

When you arrive, if someone is already on the porch, pleas wait until they have their dog loaded before bringing your pup to the porch. You are more than welcome to exercise them in the field next to the parking lot (please stay in the area that has been recently mowed and not in the hay field).

I know it's been awhile so we are really looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow! Our goal is to return to hosting K9 Mani/Pedi Saturdays at least once a month!

Small businesses can thrive in our home towns when the community comes together and offers their support. Here in Georgetown, we are blessed with a lot of small businesses that really are a step above the chain businesses. From restaurants to auto repair shops and everything in between. Take some time and explore our town to see what is here. One example is Dunn in the Kitchen! If you are like us, and healthy meal prep or just planning ahead can be overwhelming, take a look at Dunn in the Kitchen! Miss Michelle and Miss Shelby make dinner easy! Healthy and delicious meals in either individual or family size dinners are a breeze!

They are less expensive than most of the meal prep boxes but the time saved prepping, cooking and even clean up makes it worth even more!

With everything going on around here normally and then add in the chaos from this past week with my sister and an extra mouth to feed with Tanner being home, Dunn in the kitchen has truly been a blessing!

Check out their website and place an order or stop in to pick up an individual meal (when available) to try. I guarantee you will make it a regular time saving dinner option!

Menus change every month. We’ve been doing this since mid -December and it’s a game changer!

The schedule here at Thunder Vallies might be a little messed up the next few days but I will keep everyone posted and update as soon as I know more.
The funeral will be Thursday 2/29. Visitation will begin at 11 and the funeral will begin at 1

In looking into the new new respiratory illness and the upcoming holidays, I was introduced to this product called Imuquin for a boost for your pet's immune system. This product is manufactured by Nutramax which also has Dasuquin and Cosequin for joint health. While I doubt this will prevent your pet from getting the infection, it could help reduce the time your pet is sick and keep it from going into pneumonia. Several professional dog handlers add this to the dogs' diet while in their care to reduce the chance of illness.

Edited to add: Please check with your vet before adding any supplements to your dog's diet. Especially if your dog takes any medications or are already on supplements to make sure that adding another isn't going to cause a problem if they don't work together.

I'll try to keep everyone posted as I receive reliable information.

Please be aware that there is a new Upper Respiratory issue that is highly contagious. It presents like kennel cough but can move into pneumonia rather quickly. We are monitoring the situation closely and have upped our cleaning/sanitizing regiment to keep the dogs in our care safe. Please do not bring your dog in for day care, grooming, boarding or training if your dog has started coughing or sneezing. Should your dog start to cough while here, we will get in contact with your vet and make an appointment for them to be seen as soon as possible. If we cannot get an appointment for your pet with your vet, we will contact Central KY vet and set up an emergency appointment.

If your dog has stayed with us over the holiday, or came in for grooming, and has started coughing, please let us know immediately so we can inform other owners that their dog may have come in contact with an infected dog.

Let's work together to keep our pets as safe and healthy as possible.

This is a first come, first serve situation and we ask that you wait in your vehicle if someone is already here until they get loaded in order to keep things safe.
