This weekend the community showed up for us again and I cant express my gratitude to everyone that came to help. We had been working all week to clear just one path down to the river, and when we cleared that path and I got down there, I realized we were not going to be taking the horses or campers down it any time soon. But in just one morning our community helped us clear a different but extremely beautiful path down to the river, clean out the debris piles, clear out campsites, rebuild the driveway and so much more. It would have taken me a year to do what community did in a day.

Thanks to the efforts of Celebration Church and Anchor Austin and the combined efforts of almost 50 amazing people, our Mother Tree campsite and the San Gabriel River trail rides are back up and running. Our riverbank campsite will continue to be closed, as that camp site was completely wiped away and the topography changed. I will be watching it closely over the next few weeks to determine where and when we can set up another river bank campsite. I know that it was a favorite spot for the community, and I hate to keep it shut down but I promise I will get it back up and running again.

We have always had two goals here at Psquared (P2) Farm. To be stewards of the land and animals that we are so privileged to have, and to offer AFFORDABLE community access to horses and nature. Thanks to the efforts of our community this week, we can continue to do so.

We have been asked about fundraising but we will not be doing any fundraising at this time. We would like all fundraising efforts to go to people that lost homes and loved ones. Thank you to everyone in the community that helped us evacuate our herd, we would not have been able to evacuate without community support. Those of you that know me or if you have been on one of our trail rides, you know how much I love this river. Seeing the complete decimation of our campsites and seeing how this flood changed the actual topography of the land has been shocking. I was expecting change but I wasn’t expecting this much change. Thankfully we are all safe and there was no damage to the animals, barn, or house. At its highest the main river current came 5 feet from the porch and slower moving water started to creep into the back of the barn.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all the families that lost loved ones and everything in their lives.

People from all over the country have been asking about Sheepy, and she is safe and evacuated at a friends farm along with the rest of our herd. ❤️

We have had so many people ask to help and we appreciate that so much, but we would love for immediate relief in the next few days or weeks to be directed to those that lost their homes and belongings.

But We will need community assistance in the coming weeks to help clear the paths so we can get our business up and running again. Anyone that is able to help in the coming weeks is welcome to reach out, we would love community support so we can continue to share our space with yall.

We were just notified that we were Hipcamp ‘s most visited site in ALL of Williamson County. There is so much beauty in central Texas and to be named the most visited spot on a platform like Hipcamp, while living in a place as populated as Williamson County… is just so incredible. We will continue to share our space and educate the public about our wonderful animals and the importance of preserving the land and rivers we have been given. We want to give a Huge thanks to all the Hipcampers who’ve visited, stayed, and shared their adventures. We can’t wait to welcome even more of you in the future!

A few weeks ago we booked out for the first time with our San Gabriel River Trail ride. This weekend we booked out for the first time with our camping platform Hipcamp. We are so grateful for all the people and animals that have helped us along the way. We love getting to meet people from all over who come to our little slice of heaven.

I have had the pleasure of teaching with many horses throughout the years but Scooter has always been one of my favorites. He has been helping me pass on education for over 3 years and I am so grateful for the confidence he gives our students.

Fun Fact
Scooter recently had all of his front teeth pulled so he usually walks around with his tongue out like this. How could you not love that face!
